It's crazy, out household has 3 licenses, no use of any SABC services.. ocasionally my wife might flick to a snowflake image of 7'de laan or bad news but we have practically outgrown the use of any broadcasting, we use data, youtube, the kids game most of the time. Next time I'm buying an HD monitor. Places like game etc makes it ultra convenient to take out licenses on purchase of devices.. so SABC through that motion has created a lot of duplication, households with multiple licenses. They could just implement a reciever device tax on purchase.. People no longer buy one set for a lifetime and it's not for SABC or even broadcasting services, or why not make it part of property tax, an extra R28 a month on your levy is not going to escalate into feuds of dispute and arguments.
