OK what about Jews w/o money? The US has lower social mobility than any other OECD country and plenty of us can pull our own weight but we're not wealthy.

I will make aliyah ASAP. I'm prepared, I grew up in the USA with 1 phone per 3-4 houses, I've gone w/o running water, w/o a lot of things people tend to think people don't go w/o in the great America but they do.

I confirmed my Sephardic ancestry about 3 years ago. Since then, I have been following Judaism as much as possible, however, living outside the community. I'm learning Ivrit by myself with the help and inspiration of HaShem! I would really like to live in Israel (I'm a computer language specialist with over 35 years and I've written some books. (c, c++, etc.) I DON'T want them to pay for my tickets, tax breaks, housing... I just want to be able to work , help the community, the country, because I feel Jewish since my childhood (my parents lost their parents when they was 7 and were prevented from studying - they learned to read and write on their own). HaShem, Blessed Be Eternally, showed me the Torah and that's what made me go after it, but as apparently my great-grandmother was the last to be considered Jewish, according to current law, I do not have the right to live there. Orthodox conversion would not be a problem, but there is NO community nearby which makes it "impossible" to convert. Where I live today (Brazil) anti-Semitism is growing (promoted by the extreme left that dominates and controls the country, including the supreme court). Many Jews here have left since Lula was "released" from jail and "placed" as president. I don't see a Jewish future in Brazil if it continues like this. We came as retirees. We live on our Chutz pension. It's not easy but it's not impossible if the will is there.

If you are already a "senior citizen" and you don't have a spare million dollars for a house in Israel and pension, how can a family make aliyah? For many who would love to move to Israel, there are practical financial issues that have no obvious answers.

I just watched a video of Israelis repairing the electrical lines to the hospital in Gaza you know the same hospital where terrorists operated out of. To move to Israel where it's flooded with Goyim and assimilation is a thing there as well. I remain optimistic though. We want to come! You dont need to beg us! The bureaucracy is so bad that even for those of us who would leave now , tonight just as people did in 1948, is not possible. The Jewish agency and all the other NGO’s are not aligned and focused on making the impossible possible. They are doing a job! For those of us who are completely enlightened and want to come it should be possible. And now! Just as we were able to rally around and find whatever was needed in the days and moments after 7/10. This will open the floodgates and people will come.

The point that really needs to be pushed is that in the US, everyone's on their own. Parents don't help children, children don't help parents, friends don't help friends, extended family - forget it! The US is hyper-individualistic and humans are not meant to live that way. Judaism is the solution to this and it's much easier to follow Judaism in Israel.
