Ok I just picked up a 2002 crv for 400 bucks it had all the transmission codes. It had a list of codes but it ran and drove. So I've fixed all codes. And after going through the suv. I ended up doing the transmission service on it. And replaced the transmission fliter. But when I first drained the transmission it only had barely a quart of fluid in it. Well that's odd because I should have like 2 and half quarts coming out. So I finished doing the service on it and like 99% of the codes went away. Shifted great on it first test drive after but I found a leak of transmission fluid. So I inspect all around the transmission. And do some research. So bottom line bad seal some where. Places it might leak from 1. Shift linkage seal 2. Cv axle seals 3. Trasfer case (2 O-rings) 4. Shift solenoid gaskets (there's 2 for the auto) 5. Fluid pressure sensor I've done all but the cv axle deals and I'm still leaking. I drove for 4 hours today and the moment I got home and the D light on the dash started to blink at me so I looked it up and found this video. But when I got home I was 2 quarts low on fluid so definitely check fluid first. Thank you sir for sharing this video.

So it wasn't the blower motor? Mine just the other day wouldn't blow any air, not even the compressor would kick on, which I guess makes sense. Then randomly over the course of ten minutes driving and baking, it kicked on and has worked the last few days since. But I guess it's the first sign. Should I start with this part or just go ahead and replace the blower motor?

Quick Question! I recently bought my 06 CRV and love it! I've been told that these CRVs can go through oil fast and to check my oil level on a weekly basis. Is that necessary? Wouldn't the maintenance required light come on the dash if the oil were low? Just wondering if other 2nd Gen Owners are fine bringing theirs in every 5-7 K miles for an oil change without consistently checking oil levels on their own? Thanks!

Have you sprayed bed liner in the wheel wells? If you haven't, even if it's the cheapo stuff, it can lower interior a few dB and just reduce a noticeable amount of the drone as well.
