Very nice job overall, and for the review and for your food photos! I think in close to average distances 100pro is totally fine/great, but the main point of buying 200pro vs 100pro is when you want to light lets say a big place from way behind like a venue/children theater and you will have to use 100pro at 1/2 and full power all the time. You can easily need 2 or 3 batteries for 100pro and also come across overheating issues (lets also not forget that batteries life decline as you use them and the full power shots wont be 360 for ever). With 200pro you will have to worry much much less about these things.

Bokeh is NOT depth of field!! Further more, if you frame your subject the same with both lenses, i.e. get closer with the 35mm, you'll get the same depth of field. What you are showing is the subject-background separation.

Canon's expertise in color renderings and reproduction is superb in terms of portraiture photography but its lens lineup is over-priced and not entry-friendly with many of its buget-friendly lenses being chronically out-of-stock. Sony has a series problem with color management despit its superb image sensors; it's lagging behind Canon in terms of color renderings.

Thank you, but I didn't see a lot of difference in usage between the two ? Abd the light quality between the two lenses ? I would think that with a bigger softbox the most powerful ad200 would be good ?

One question though, I observed, you shoot at very high ISO of around 1000, that has affected the image clarity and quality. Just my perspective, maybe it is something of your own liking. Thanks for the info

I think my initial balance was done wrongly. When I turn on my gimble the camera is listing on an right angle. Is there a way to reset this so my camera is in a balanced position? I thank anyone who can help me with this.

First of all I really enjoyed your review but there's something you should know: f/stop on apsc has no EQUIVALENT on full frame. 1.4 is 1.4 no matter the system. F/stop measures the amount of light. Keep up the good work 👍🏻
@evans9748Ай бұрын
You're correct about the F Stops in light gathering, F1.4 is F1.4 regardless of APSC vs Full Frame. The crop sensor does change the FOV and compression/bokeh though. He's saying the f0.95 will create bokeh similar to a FF F1.4, like how a 35mm will give the same FOV of 52mm.

The V1 has better recycle time and more flashes before you have to trade batteries. It also has the round head mods, but those are available for the sqaure had flashes to with a 6 dollar adapter. You can eliminate the V1 advantage with a battery pack and makes the TT685ii less than a second recycle time and make it last double to triple the number of flashes depending on which battery pack you get. But the battery pack adds more weight and costs from 35 to 130 dollars. The power outputr is exactly the same between the two 76 watt seconds but the GN number is better for the TT685ii because of the greater amount of zoom in the head . Difficult decision. The cheap one is better because of price but if you try to make it better than the V1, it will cost you more money. If you are going to buy several flashes, the TT685ii is the way to go. But some pros need the V1 for better recycle time. But you have to buy those expensive batteries.

Hello Oma! I wanted to know at what aperture you usually record with the LAOWA 9MM for real estate. I wanted to know if a 2.8 is enough to keep a large part of the room in focus or should I take it to a special driaphragm.

I think your old video just saved me 200 bucks. I got the whole Sigma trio and lately I got obsessed with bokeh. Was just about to buy one of these 0.95 lenses to complement the 1.4 ones just to get colser to the full frame look, but ... honestly ... seeing how tiny the difference is, I think I'm good.

In the 2 comparison photos of the model with the hat and black top it’s strikingly obvious the 35mm is much sharper with better contrast and colours than the 50mm. Very obvious with the hair against the hat, in the 50mm photo her hair just mesh with the black hat where as in 35mm you can clearly see the highlights in her hair. Thanks for this comparison as I was tossing up between the 2 lens but your video made it a no brainer to get the 35mm. Definitely worth the extra cost. Fun fact, the 24mm is exactly the same size in measurements as the 35mm but the 35mm is slightly heavier.
