Great video! So sorry to hear of the loss of your Malibu. I fly a Saratoga II HP. Hoping to fly down to the Bahamas in my plane soon. We tried to do it on American Airlines, but the pilot did a missed approach and flew us back to Miami, where we were stuck for three days before we could get home.

That North-Up Nav view looks so confusing to me, have to translate it in my head to figure out which way the turns go.

Wilco is not a great response. It doesn’t clarify what you were told.

Sharing this story is a true service to all of general aviation. We have all made these mistakes in one form or another. Usually it adds to the list of our, "dodged a cannonball" stories we keep in our breast pockets as aviators. The plane is far more replaceable than your health. One thing that is certainly irreplaceable is the love and support of your gracious wife. Your channel informed, entertained and, most importantly, educated. Very excited for your next chapter.

Your flying procedures and skills are fantastic. You only have high-quality, well-produced videos that tell a story. I had been watching our videos and started looking back to see the details of your plane.That lead me to this video on your panel upgrade. I certainly noticed how well done your panel was and was impressed with your knowledge of using the entire system. BTW what autopilot? You did a fantastic job outlining your upgrade and an admiral job of dancing around the issues without trashing those involved. I have been in similar situations with much more downtime than expected.

Hey there was all good under the hood with a magnum and I did not realize that I was going to be there until about five or six so I just wanted to let you know that I was there and I will see you at your house around five or six, I did not know if you were coming or not but I will be there at the house around five thirty or so to get you guys ready to leave the house and I will let you guys in the house when we get back from our trip and I wants good enough to go with you so know I don’t want no body in my house and I want you to get my city truck back now, and I will be taking my kids and leaving to and never want to see y’all again, and the 105,000 that each kid got, I pressed charges on, but I will never to god enough for a cop dad.

I thought she did fantastic, but if this is her first solo I thought you were not allowed to leave the pattern and you had to make 3 full stop landings and be signed off by your instructor . Then you could go out solo to practice your maneuvers etc. That’s how it was when I received mine.

You got your money's worth when you got that dashboard/avionics update. Sweet!
