Hi. Can you give me a hint? A message came up on the dashboard "emission System problem" I read errors p2096 and p2270 honda pilot 2017. Internet says similar problem although there is no extraneous sound. Can you tell me what could be the most common? And maybe the problem is that I poured injector cleaning fluid into the tank? How much is this estimated to cost at least roughly?! And I don't understand everything, I use a translator. Thank you.

the codes are saying the system is too lean. Try using high octane gas. if that does not work, you have to use a scan tool to see if the o2 sensor is working correctly or going bad.

Had P0430 and another code I forget on my 2017 Ridgeline. Replaced down stream O2 sensor on Bank 2, code came back. Took it to dealer, replaced fuel injectors. Code came back after 6 months, on and off. Waited too long to go back to dealer under work warranty. Replaced the UP stream O2 sensor last week. P0430 came back. Now thinking of doing this. Exciting!..
@AJIMPORTS26 күн бұрын
Just a FYI the aftermarket cats are not the best. If you can get a dealer one. Try to do that. Or get the o2 extender to put on the o2 sensor. That will help if they can fit
@pstrzel26 күн бұрын
@@AJIMPORTS Thanks for the reply and suggestion. I'm holding off on the O2 extender simply because the light doesn't bother me as much (I was able to pass inspection this year) as I like to problem solve. I want to know what is wrong. I think it may have started with the faulty software for which Honda had a bulletin. That got patched, but I believe it caused the fuel injectors to misfire and it may have snowballed from there. I'm in the middle of attempting to do what you showed on the video. At this point I'm not getting enough leverage to loosen the bolts. Frustrating, but will try again tomorrow.

Just took out the Catalytic Converter. I was hoping I could find some shortcuts, so I wouldn't have to do all the work you did, but no, it ended up being exactly like you showed it... I can see the honeycomb and there's no obvious melting or damage, but a powdery residue is present on the upstream side of the Cat. More comes out with some knocking. I'll wash it and put it back in to see if it helps. Worst case, I'll have to do it again and buy a new Cat. Thanks for the great video. I wouldn't have done this without your help.
@AJIMPORTS20 күн бұрын
@pstrzel maybe you can look for a used cat or make sure you don't have a exhaust leak (wishful thinking). Hope washing it out and maybe spacing out the o2 sensor will help.

@@AJIMPORTS Mine looks exactly like the Dorman ones that sell for $475 in Autozone, which I can afford, except that mine seems to have a missing rubber gasket (I looked around thinking it just fell off, but no). So was this TPS directly on the throttle body on the 04/05 accords? I have an 06 and when I hit 3k rpm I’m losing power. When I looked under the hood, I didn’t see the TPS on the throttle body but it looks like it’s on that piece w you took out. Even has the same breakaway bolts on it

Hello, I have the same P2138 code on my 2003 toyota tacoma and the same issues with the complete loss of power while driving. I tried to replace my Throttle position sensor and it turned the engine light off for a bit, I drove maybe 15 miles and everything felt great, no lag, good throttle response, then the same code came back and I lost power again. Any idea what else it could be? I've heard that when changing the TPS you may have to do a relearn procedure. I didn't know this at the time and just test drove the car immediately after slapping the new part in. When I clear the code with my scantool I can drive the truck fine, but it always comes back.

@brendentimothy5669 did you get a oem part to install. Some times the aftermarket not the best. Also the throttle body might be going bad. Have to check that it's opening fully along with the tps signal.

Move the can closer to the axle and make the tips longer. Really you want the single section in the middle and to be as long as possible, only splitting into duals at the axle, and then with two 3.5 by at least 12 long rolled edge tips.
@AJIMPORTSАй бұрын
Can't move the muffler back the rear subframe in the way. Just working with the space I have left. But might change the muffler. Still too loud for my liking
@Drunken_HamsterАй бұрын
@@AJIMPORTS Can you fit a 5x11 cased muffler in the middle? If so, consider putting two of the smallest-bodied magnaflow mufflers with the built-in X-pipes in the middle (ahead of the rear subframe) then just running two pipes back to the 3.5x12 or longer rolled edge tips. Having two X-pipes should blend the sound almost as well as a Y-pipe and using two of the smallest cased packing style mufflers should get the volume bearable. Plus since you'll have two pipes coming off the muffler you won't have to do a split at the end where the tips are, AND you can then place the tips more easily wherever you want. TVR style (out each side behind the tires) would be cool to see, but dual centers are also fun, so up to you and whatever you wanna do. But definitely, the longer the actual tip (and having it rolled edge) seems to improve sound in my experience, and I say 3.5 dia mostly to keep the appearance reasonable and to make sure they fit in your cutout.

@NinaBabyTV yes. I have seen those go bad. So when you manually turn the lever on top it does a 360. It should stop from side to side. But that's where I would start looking
@NinaBabyTVАй бұрын
@@AJIMPORTS I found it, but I did not move it manually. I used the controls and it moved from side to side. Even though it moves, both hoses are of equal temperature, is that normal when using ac?
@AJIMPORTSАй бұрын
@NinaBabyTV you have to take off the cable and move it manually. Because if the lever is broken I side. It will still move on the outside. When the ac is on. The valve blocks the coolant from going into the hvac. If the valve stuck or broken even with the ac on. It will still have hot coolant flowing inside the hvac.
