Blaidd is not wearing a wolf's head, he is a half wolf, that's just his head. When the tarnished gets his armor, you do get a wolf head helmet as part of the set, but just pointing out that difference.

I picked hunter because I wanted to be a space cowboy, after learning that solar hunter wasn't really my cup of tea I looked at arc hunter and now sit in the uncanny valley between hunter and titan.

Well before titans, there were the spartans from halo and titan armor at least during year 1 of d1 looked like halo spartan armor so the fantasy of being a spartan with space magic sounded hard af

In my youth, I was a Titan. I wanted to be my team's shield, their bulwark. But as I got older, banging knuckles grew harder and harder. That's when I learned there was another way I could help. It was quite the trial, but under Ikora's tutelage, I learned the ways of the warlock. I learned how to protect my team not by being on the front lines but by becoming their spine, their support, and their lifeline. To my surprise, the warlock's ways were not so different from their Titan brethren. A Well was a bubble you could shoot out of. A rift was a shield because it constantly healed you. And I sometimes can still feel my old garrison whenever I Ick dash. Some things have changed though. I can't melee like I used to of course, But sometimes I'm still overcome with the urge to take a "Hands on" approach. And for the most part, I still enjoy the feeling of a sword's hilt in my grip. I guess some habits die hard.

The “knight” sets of armor, including the Haligtree Knight armor set, are all based off of ceremonial jousting armors. They all have the shield, they all have the armpit guard, and they all have the same helmet. He never spoke about the helmet in detail beyond hating it, so I will in his stead: it’s based off of “frogmouth” helmets, though a bit different so they could somewhat be used to actual combat. Now what I mean by that is that frogmouth helmets were entirely used for jousting. That’s it. The rounded shape is to deflect the opponent’s spear or lance, and the slit for vision is so high up because the leaned forward to use their weapon while riding, and as they leaned forward they would be able to look up and out of their frogmouth helmet. Now because of this design, it was entirely useless for proper combat, a design flaw these regional knight helmets try to fix by making the helmet more vertical, angular, and adding the long vertical slit down the middle. So in reality, I would say that Elden Ring, as much as I love it, didn’t do their knights good at all. You see these enemies fairly common around the Lands Between yet they aren’t even on horseback. Their armor is still actually okay (minus the terrible helmet), but why make it so purpose-built for jousting and calvary if you are going to treat your knights like common footsoldiers? Of course, then you have the very practical default knight’s set, the busted up but still useful and standard vagabond knight’s set, and the magically protected and magic-enhancing carian knight’s set of which the gauntlets are for one hand being used for a shield and the other for dexterity with the leather gauntlets to easily use a sword as well as staff catalyst for spellcasting. As for the bloodhound knight and Maliketh’s set, the design flaws are actually features. In these suits of armor, the knights and Maliketh are incredibly quick, agile doesn’t even begin to describe them, but they are also bound to the ground on their hands and feet. And so to accommodate for their quadrupedal style on top of their agility, their armor is more focused on the shoulders, the back, the sides, the face, and their arms. Their opponents won’t usually get the chance to attack their stomach and waist because they are on all fours. Now I will mention the Bloodhound Knight’s very armored chest, in fact it is a very practical design for deflecting attacks away from the neck and chest, and this is because the bloodhound knights do rear back a bit occasionally when attacking. However, their waist is hardly ever at a point where it can be safely struck without leaving the attacker highly vulnerable. As for the bh knight’s lack of leg armor below the knee… idk. You’d think they’d want armor especially on the back of their legs and on their knees and shins, but they don’t do that. Maybe they planned to rely on their agility more to simply never have their backs to their enemy? Their neck protection is also an enigma to me, thought the gap between the neck and the chest/back does indicate to me the ability to really lift your head back or lean forward since they are on all fours. They had to be able to lean their head back to see straight, which then protects the back of the neck. As for Maliketh, his design is incredibly practical with no flaws at all given his all-fours form of movement. There is concern about the helmet blocking vision above the nose, but for a wolf-dog-human monster thing it is of no concern with an incredible sense of smell and hearing that is likely worth trading for his possibly average or lesser vision.

Gotta realize that when your enemy is a giant demigod who can’t be slain by the typical man or weapon anyway… having flaws in your armor in exchange for style points just makes sense XD

I believe the reason for the bloodhound knight armor being that way is for mobility. As its wearers run around on all fours and move around a lot. As well as the fact that their torso is front forward while their lower body is behind. Hence, they do not need as much armor.

Idea for the 3rd one: The Blind Hawk Exotic Perk - Of A Blind Wing Aiming down the sights will fire singular compact slugs instead of its standard three-round burst. While Aiming Down Sights, gains increased Precision Damage but gives higher Recoil. Intrinsic Perk - Erravit Kills while Aiming Down Sights grant a stack of Rhys' Hubris. Each stack makes the Blind Hawk's reload become faster however all stacks are consumed upon reloading. Kinetic Sidearm 18 Rounds

Fisting the Darkness is fun. Serious answer - I was the protective bubble Titan while my buddy went apeshxt using Fist of Havoc and then Hammer of Sol back in D1. I took pride in saving my allies' lives by dropping a bubble on their heads...but I was also responsible for a lot of team deaths back in the day doing the same thing. A running joke became that I was secretly on Skolas's payroll when we tried Prison of Elders.

Hunter is best class. Movement? ✅ We have Stompees and Grapple. Edgy? ✅ Superblack + Overbearing cloak with the Iron banner helmet, you know which one. Skill? ✅ We can throw knives across the map and still get kills. Sneaky? ✅ We can go invis for eternity thanks to Omnioculus. Cool? ✅ Take a look at a Hunter using Goldie to get a seventh column and tell me it doesn’t look cool. Fashion? ✅ Edgy not your style? Try a cowboy hat, or how about some slickness, or maybe just some casual apparel, we have it all. Overall, best option. But why do I like it? All the reasons above, plus, Warlock jumps are useless, and I don’t wanna eat crayons, disgusting… and I just generally love playing hunter. I created mine during arrivals, and never have REALLY touched the other classes.

I feel like the chest on Maliketh’s armor was actually designed with more thought. It has to be more flexible because he’s a dog flipping around on all fours lmao. For a bipedal person, that suddenly makes a lot less sense.

My only issue is when he's talking about Blaidd's armor... Blaidd's armor doesn't actually contain a helmet. Blaidd isn't human, but a Wolfborn Demi-Human. There is a person that made a mask to imitate Blaidd, and that's what people use with it. (So the set itself is without a helmet inn design.)

in regards to the falchion hes completely wrong about it being a liner lock the falchion is pretty much a 1:1 of the cold steel extra large espada which uses a different style of lock that is stronger than the steel around it and will not break unless the blade itsself snaps hes also completely wrong about the grip, hes good on fixed blades but he knows nothing about folders i guess
