Beautiful, haunting, intimidating, but ultimately the perfect example of style over substance when their tribes were found wanting, against the mighty legions of Rome.

I love this! I saw it on a reel on IG & had to look this up! It’s a beautiful sound to some degree. Like a combo of a trumpet, saxophone & didgeridoo!

I’ll admit this is horrifying, but this is nothing compared to “Timurid battle crys and drums, not to forget the Timurid War Elephants imagine those charging at you with the sound of screams and deep bass drums let’s not forget Vikings, Roman’s, and all others have been obliterated by Muslim empires! Don’t get me started on the Central Asians 💪🏻 especially the Babur Mughals. You want to know what sounds better? Go look at videos of Uzbeks with their trumpets those are real war instruments 🫡

Imagine being a Roman soldier and you’re with your fellow soldiers and hear this in the middle of a battle field with little to no visibility due to the dense fog

This sounds like something the ancient Scottish Picts would use… imagine being faced with this sound at night , plus mist , plus a bunch of naked painted blue men running out of the darkness with sharp implements trying to murder you 😂, I mean no wonder the romans built a wall to seal them in lol.

I can't imagine, a new recruit to the Roman Army, marching across their known world at the time, hearing this, in the Pre-Dawn hours,... Horns, prepping Celt warriors, and sending Battle Formations...by sound. It's beautiful as it is haunting.

It's crazy to think that Julius Caesar heard the absolutely terrifying sound of this horn and just leaned back in his chair and said "That's cute, I'm about to conquer all you sons of b****es." Meanwhile the rest of the Roman legionaries and officers "👀🤨😅🥲😬😶‍🌫️😐😰"

Watch a Big Bad Roman Legionnaire SH*T himself in about three seconds. If I heard THAT coming out of some strange wooded area at night....I ain't going in there, period. That is NOT a sound that is common in Nature.....and I DO NOT want to know what makes it, thankyouverymuch, Caesar.
