Including the unaired footage that was sourced from associate director Rick Stern's raw tape in GSN's 2003 documentary, Round 2 went on for 19 minutes and 20 seconds. It might have gone on for a little longer than that.

Our first microwave in 1981 was over $800. It was an Amana RadaRange. This was first year of the touch pads, red digital clock/timer numbers, no turntable so you had to turn your food every 30 seconds. It's kinda tacky to think now but in addition to the stove hood light being on during the night, my mom kept the light in the microwave going as a nightlight 🕯️ She was an impeccable housekeeper and the inside of her microwave showed that ✨

Neither can I. That would boil down to two things: Availability and tape quality. I have been reassured several times that Fremantle has them, and any stories about them supposedly being badly damaged is untrue.

USA airdate if Inauguration week is mentioned would be the week of 1/18-1/22/1993. THe Powers that Be was a Norman Lear sitcom that NBC cancelled with episodes not aired.

This version of Squares was called a "circus" by Merrill Heatter. I think the Rosner crew wanted to make it look a little less like the Marshall Squares, which is why the gimmicks were added(visual questions, unusual openings) The only person from Marshall HS working on this show was Harry Friedman, not counting John Davidson who was a regular in the 70s and the NBC tech crew that worked the 1986-87 season of Squares, which did tape at NBC Burbank

They were trying to do more of a variety show vs. a game show. That's part how they got John to take the gig, he wasn't interested in hosting a game show but that's what they told him. That and he called Peter Marshall to get his blessing.
