What happened with this? Is it coming to Broadway? I love the movie & it's 1969 soundtrack & understand of course not part of the play. I'd be excited to see it come to the Great White Way!!!

I invented a few things and the most successful thing was stolen from me by Walmart. I am guessing that they have sold millions of my simple invention now. I had no patten, which was my first mistake. Showing it to Walmart was my last mistake.

This may be 13 years too late but I appreciate this video. My family vacationed in Surf City for a few years but I never ventured to this theatre until 2011-2012 when I caught their production of Grease and I regret all the missed years I could have seen their shows. It is now September 16 of 2023 and I truly hope this theatre is still operating.

It's a heightened, over-the-top dark comedy/parable (think "Little Shop of Horrors" for the 24-hour news age). The point is extremism is terrifying and that the thought process that leads to it can be a slippery slope of self-righteousness (of course, this show is an insane premise, but that's what makes it an allegory--NOT a real-life play. And that's made very clear in the show.)
