The pianist is very sensitive the the violinist, but I agree, think about closing the lid to at least the small opening. The piano easily overshadows the violin.

The wide dynamics, the flexible bowing and deeply felt performance made this such a joy. The pianist is also superb though too loud in some sections.

That was one of the more romantic interpretations that I have heard quite lovely! I felt that the accompanist got a little bit overbearing in her first spiccato phrase but overall I would give it a very very high A+
There is something extraordinary in her breathtaking performance .

EXCELLENT use of dynamics by both players! Beautiful vibrato by Kikuo also. * long polite clap * Love this piece too. I always like how Kreisler had his thumb on the pulse of the 20th Century, while never abandoning the past. Would love to hear Kikuo's take on 'Tambourin Chinois'.

How loud the piano sounds is dependent on where the microphones are placed; to the live audience they might have sounded perfectly balanced!
