@@airlinesarefun They did, but whisper quiet with a nod of the head off camera as they could see I was recording, so they were actually being extra courteous, it just probably doesn't look like it as it was all off camera The Air India staff were some of the friendliest and accommodating I had met all day - A true credit to the airline and industry

They could have saved themselves more money. By doing what the Irish army did and just buy standard Landcruisers . Hardly much point modifying the hell out of these things if when conflict comes there are no specialists parts readily to keep them on the road. Just a thought.

8 months to switch to ferrari ..Hope LH gets the latest car updates , setup & the data ..or LH would have to just relax and face the situation and see the kid beat him in some situations...nor would LH ask for the setup ..LH too would be on a watch for making changes suiting him ... happens in organizations ...Silverstone win was on Merits and champions drive.

I really don’t get how you would call that a lucky win. A lucky win was George in Austria. Even with his luck George, done a great job putting himself in a position to capitalise if something like Max and Lando happened. Hamilton was on merit and he already had dealt with George and made the right calls on when to pit and which tires to go for and made it work especially on the last stint on soft tires.

@@vanessaallen3967 I really like the Urban Khaki, plus a bonus that it's free so you can get the lower cost road tax on the 2wd. Whereas Obsidian Blue is currently a £680 option which would push it over the £40k threshold, so it would be an extra £410 per year for five years on the RFL

Ground Clearance comparison: Toyota Corolla Lounge Touring Sports (car i drive actually): 135mm; Toyota CH-R PHEV 137mm; Toyota CH-R HV 154 mm; yes, the battery of the PHEV will come nearer to the ground, but with my actual car (by the way most taxis in our town are Corolla Tourings) never had any problems with bumps or any other inconvenience with ground clearing. So i think CHR PHEV does the same job :) Will be my next car. Going to my Toyota dealer this weekend. Update: 2.0 Lounge PHEV ordered. Delivery expected in early August. 😀 I am looking forward to it and am excited

@@wolfgangritter8641There's no better car to taxi in my opinion I think the problem lies within what peoples ideas are on the capabilities of an SUV. They think that they can utilise it in semi-off road situations like high curbs, where on a standard tourer you'd think twice even though you have a solid chassis to scrape, whereas the PHEV 'SUV' has a 13.8kwh volatile battery between the chassis and the floor

If I didn’t need an AWD with more ground clearance I’d definitely go for this over the CHR. I saw the Excel spec, it’s lovely and it comes in under £40k, so no additional tax.

I took for a test drive 2 weeks ago. I deliberately took a route which had speed bumps. I'll be honest I didn't feel much difference if any on the clearance. Admittedly, some bumps are spiteful, but I didn't really feel much at all. In fact, it took the bumps a lot nicer than my mk 3 focus, which tends to punch a lot of bumps. Other than curb parking, it won't put me off.

@daPalma I hear that. Some of those bumps are ridiculous. But you made me aware of it, so I guess it made me a little more cautious. They wouldn't let me drive the car in B mode, though, which I found disappointing. Live silent, smooth drive, though. Be interesting on long distance. I'll have a chat with the delivery driver. It's coming from Rugby I believe.

I'm not a fan of the Design interior either, Excel/GR/Premier are far superior, but I'm not sure if the extra cost outweighs what you get in the Design for the price

I live in Lanzarote, in February I bought a Limited edition 2.0 C-HR same spec as your review, only difference mine is a bi tone with a black roof, I paid 35,000 € which is just under £30’000 at todays exchange rate. Crazy that U.K. buyers are paying more than £42.000! My previous car was a first generation C-HR , really impressed with the new version, enjoyed your review by the way

I can't locate a Yaris Cross demo to drive at the moment, they all seem to be static display or sold units. I'll update as soon as I hear back on the arrival of a new demonstrator In the meantime I can do more detailed Speedo demo etc on a static?

I'm saying it doesn't really make much of a difference? The video was specifically for someone who had said that they couldn't find an AWD CROSS at a dealer and that the boot space was a deciding factor for them between a Yaris CROSS AWD and a RAV4, so it's very relevant to them

Thats not the phev. It doesnt say it on the back. Theres no petrol cover. And the boot is too deep.

As per the edit in the description, I thought it was and then realised it wasn't afterwards. This was the first one to arrive last year. I've looked at many PHEVS since, and highlighted an issue that I noticed with the 13.8Kw battery

@daPalma haha. They did stitch you up, tbf, and I should have read the description. Good reviews, though 👌🏻 I've gone for the design. It's not a bad entry for the phev. Although if I could've stretched a bit more, then I would have gone for the GR. Hopefully, I can live with the boot space. Alleged delivery is July, we'll see.
