The term "Spinner" refers to a swarms of male mayfly's during their mating flight displays which appear to spin around each other attempting to attract females.

You won't believe this but this year I have stoneflies getting into our house. Its the first year I've ever seen them. We do have a creek in our front yard and they seem to be attracted to lights after dark.
