Make sure your legs are parallel to each other so before your set up look at your feet and make sure they’re set the same

so, some of these comments about his only job being to snap the ball are missing some key elements of the job. Sure, snapping the ball is important, but now you have to be agile enough to get back to a forward base and block for 2 seconds. Now you have to be strong enough to shed your block and get to the ball for the return. There's a huge responsibility to long snapping.

This man is extremely agile and has so much power, but my question is does he really need all of this just to pass the football?

+Alejandro Saavedra Long snapper is technically a center, he is the first line of defense for the punter. Thus, he needs to be very strong, and somewhat agile.

Great video. Strong legs and core allow to have speed on your snaps and can block for the punter. I'm a snapper trying to get time off my snap, do you have any advice?

@cakeanddonuts, to state that the form is terrible then to state that it's whatever works for the individual is a bit contradicting. It's how the snap is delivered. Nice speed, tight spiral, location and blocking ability. I would like to see your snapping, we all learn techniques from different coaches and players.

@ Mcconnorflynn, thank you for your comment. As a pro long snapper I like to show my versatility and strength as well as snapping ability. I train very hard and prepare myself for the highest competition. I'll be the first to say "of course" it's easier to snap in no pads so I respond by saying watch my game film!!! Good luck to you and your career, I hope to be a positive influence on younger snappers. My times are high 6's low 7's. Its all about accuracy and consistency

dude put some equipment on and do this, it means nothing if you can show off without shoulderpads and a helmet, i could see just from your field goal snaps that your shoulderpads would be pinching your hlemt

Matt Overton- San Jose Sabercats AFL workout #1, was brought in after for private workouts with the coaches and other top free agents. Prior to this workout, I was in mini camp with the Seattle Seahawks as a Long Snapper. Working with the Sabercats got me signed by the Tri Cities Fever of the AF2.
