I downloaded a Erika Momotani action film in 60fps and it looks so weird. The actress movements looks so fake I kinda hate it, especially during action scenes. Maybe its an acquired taste just like vegetables. But in films, 24fps is better because we live through it.

Hey brother! LOVE the color on your video. Question about the FT Scorp 2. I have a ZV E10 with a sigma 16mm lens but I'm planning to buy a Tamron 17-70mm for a more all-around lens. I am a beginner photographer/videographer who shoots corporate events, parties and am planning to start taking vlogging seriously. Here's my problem. I am planning to buy my first stabilizer and stumbled upon 3 choices which is the FT Scorp 2, DJI RS3, and the Zhiyun M3. In terms of stabilization and overall specs, I know DJI wins but it's just too damn expensive for a first stabilizer. Do you think getting the FT Scorp 2 is a way better alternative? Appreciate your work and the effort you've put into all your videos specially this one. Thanks, and hope I'd be able to get an answer from you.

Hey! It might be good to add up the weight of everything based on spec sheets and figure out if its below the payload for the Scorp! Also Imm always for future proofing so I always get the best so I don’t need to keep buying more haha

I feel like this is a bit of a harsh review. Um, I just bought something similar to this, and it's not that bad. Yes, it doesn't have immaculate qualities like professional cameras, but these are ok for beginners. I mean you have to understand cameras are very expensive. Even the Sony zv1f is $399 on a good sale day in bestbuy. It doesn't even stop theres. You need certain lenses for certain effects, lighting, external microphone..etc so the cost can easily exceed over a thousand dollars. The cannon 35mm lense is $499 right now, and that's a *sale* price for LENSES. So this is what most people can afford when getting started.

The way you describe the USBC and USBA ports makes it sound like there are 2 of each. There is only one of each. That’s a big consideration for people who use vmounts.

What am really getting feom this review. Ok its $100 to hat woule you expect? But what i see is a couple of people who may have great vameras unlike some pwoplw who can't afford one. I alsi see 2 guys who would be messed up without the easy to opwrate cameras. Unless ke back 🔙 n my days you actually had to know something and how to operate cameras change lens, filters. The $100 has a harder lenu which seem to be too much work for the modernist. Remember not everyone has money. Americans have went through 4 hard years with Biden and his administration. Uk and many other countries have apso had it tight. But when i was younger, you could always make the best out of a bad situation. Help people like samumaxwell334 who himself stated he is not well off with cash. Advice foe him thats if you know any advice. Because many people i see now just point and shoit and hope the digital camera does it all for them. Try a wheelie bin with photography paper and a black bag. That gives a great picture, unfortunately wheelie bin is 1at a time.

What if you need to export gaming clips at high frame rates like 120 or more, downgrading to 24 is just dumb for most cases, even Entertainment

I heard about the original "Cine Sack" which Luc Forsyth (on YT) thinks is a lot better albeit v.expensive. Strikes me as pretty bulky and still expensive vs say a good load spreading neck backstrap and and/or occasional 'bean bag' to interface between camera rig and hard surface (wall counter, floor etc). But IMO only has real application if you need lots of hand held support, don't want to run a gimbal or tripod and bulk of pack isn't a problem. Might convince me if (but only if) it offered substantial storage like a good backpack. Maybe they, or someone else, could design a substantial storage 'core cell' which, when emptied of camera plus rig components, could have compartment filled by an inflated bladder to fill void and just leave poly bean small adjustment for top section. All in all I suspect this Sakk might just 'fall between two stools'? Neither as good as the original (for no compromise, wealthy kit junkies) but too bulky for those wishing for a more compact or budget friendly alternative. But... what do I know apart from adding my hypothesis (or maybe blind prejudice) having never road tested this option. Bulk for bulk probably falls well behind a gimbal or tripod IMO. I personally currently use a SmallRig chest pod which is compact and takes a V-mount battery - sometimes also with a length adjusted strap from Peak Design, when I'm not utilising a tripod, monopod or gimbal. But I'd keep an open mind if many others were to make a compelling case for this. I'm NOT impressed by feedback below suggesting that in the UK it can't be returned if bought, inspected, unzipped (but new and unused) and agree that it falls counter to the UK 'distance selling regs'. So I'd encourage reporting to 'UK Trading Standards' if any manufacturer is selling direct rather than via a reputable intermediary dealer or Amazon and refutes a fair claim for a refund if 'not liked' on visual inspection.

60fps is for cinematic quality. You can tell what is happening in both, but the 60fps is truly meant for things like higher budget movies. When put to gaming, you're better off with a lower frame rate for both performance reasons and giving your eyes/perception less to process overall. Every nanosecond matters especially in FPS. There are folks who can whip a 180 and headshot you in 0.5 seconds. Literally... It's insane, and some of the best players are smart enough to play at lower FPS. All in context...

The R5C doesn’t have IBIS so that canon wobble isn’t a problem. Honestly I don’t do a lot of quick movements when I do I haven’t experienced the canon wobble. I’ve heard on a gimbal you want to use one or the other.

On gimbal I turn off all stabilization unless true sensor mechanical. But I’ve had really bad wobble when shooting at 50/85 with digital IS at weddings, so I try to stay away. Its only had on shallow dop

People are getting 'het up' on the word SMOOTH. 'Film' quality is smooth. Real life is 'smooth'. 60 fps and ultra HD....I would call it SHARP not smooth. I think the preference will depend on whether you spend more time in a virtual world where everything now is eyepoppingly sharp or more time in the real world (as well as watching, as I do, cinema of all genres from its entire history rather than just action stuff from the last twenty-five years). People are saying 'you need help' if your vision of real life is more like 24 fps than 60 fps. Personally I think if your PERCEIVING the world with the pin sharp definition of a computer game then I think you are seeing TOO MUCH and your brain is storing more insignificant nonsense than it needs to. I'm going with 30fps.

The human eye sees at 77fps and something like 40k resolution. The point is that most people grew up with 24/25 or 30fps depending on what you are viewing. That's what most people are used to.

Bro you got it so backwards. The reason I was skeptical when I first started seeing it is that it looks too real, like I could actually see that they're acting on a set. 60fps just looks better dude. Adapt.

I would NOT encourage you to buy this: In my opinion there is a design flaw, in that the beans are only loose behind a zip and not contained beyond that. I bought this thinking I would give it a punt as the website says seven day returns. But was told I couldn't return it as...I had unzipped a zip and therefore wasn't 'new'. This is actually illegal in the UK to refuse a return. Communication was with the owner Hugh. The bag comes from Etsy...this isn't a 'real' company, just a one man band who doesn't care about customer service and cannot take feedback on the product.

My 6 year old son was asking to borrow my Olympus and Lumix cams because he is fascinated by photography at a young age. I love to support him but not willing to lend him my cams. I bought this for him and it meant the world to him. I guess this would be a good starting point for him. Composition first. And no, I don't have plans on giving him a phone just yet so "training" with phones is not on the table.

"too smooth to be real" 🤣 dude, 24fps looks cinematic because it's actually slower than what the eye can actually see.. our eyes actually see between 30 to 60 fps in real time with natural motion blur.. this video is just textbook demonstration for filmmakers to achieve the cinematic look/feel but the explanation behind it is just wrong 😂 or you just see the world in jittery 24fps haha

@BelizeByDrone

I've noticed that not many people on KZfaq discuss the benefits of 60fps for smoother video quality. If you're into drone cinematography, you'll understand that anything less than 60fps can appear choppy. However, this issue is easily fixed with 60fps, and in post-production, you can slow down footage without any problems.What am I missing?
