THIS IS GREAT! Finally someone clarifies this! I've been told about this by some players but wasn't sure if it was true ...another benefit of this is it helps you practice grip change especially off the serve! You guys are super!

WOW ! You mean to hit the ball a little later for more spin?
@revolutionarymotion4161Күн бұрын
Yes, you will be able to add more spin to your shots if you hit the ball a tiny bit later than on your flat shots. :)

Top players don't 'step forwards' as part of the swing. Watch any top player - pure rotation is the key, to create centripetal/centrifugal force. Linear intention and movement hampers the swing.

Thanks. It really helps thinking about aiming the hips to uncoil toward the direction of the ball and now with this video I can hit better and recover faster! It works well in semi open stance too on forehand. More power and spin!!

Hi Katya, for the semi-open stance, is it the same advice on how to use the hips like you showed for open and closed stance?
@revolutionarymotion4161Күн бұрын
Yes, it's more similar to the closed stance when using a semi-open stance. :)

I am not loose at all, and gave myself a bad case of tennis elbow (almost a year!). I recently took a lesson and the instructor noticed that instead of following through on my forehand, I was stopping the racquet and putting stress on my arm. Wish I would have known that sooner!
@revolutionarymotion4161Күн бұрын
You should definitely work on your shoulder rotation to make sure that the shoulders move before the arm does do avoid further damage to your elbow! :)

So while you wait for the ball, and during the backswing, you hold on to the little hamster, without hurting it, but right before contact, you crush the hamster. Did I get it right?
@revolutionarymotion4161Күн бұрын
Yes, you did! :)
@olafsrensen95785 күн бұрын
Yes was proberly will happen is that you open too eraly (the hip.) and the ball will go out side the side (you hitting crosscourt) line and out. And the stroke will be a week one and with no controle.

I love your videos, but something's wrong here. If this accurate, how could you possibly use Pete Sampras's two-finger serve technique? Tightening up after the trophy position feels like a power killer.
@revolutionarymotion4161Күн бұрын
If your upper body rotates fast enough the wrist will not be strong enough to keep itself from moving with the whole upper body dragging it. Thus, you will not lose wrist flexibility or power but gain more control! Hope this takes care of your concerns :)

I have a question when you feed balls to students or to start an initial warmup I heard you are supposed to use a continental grip and hit it flat is this true?
@tennfunn63327 күн бұрын
Yes, when feeding- making ball easier to hit is key- therefore Continental grip and flatter balls are easier to return.
@watcher6874 күн бұрын
A bonus tip for you. Watch the ball while racket hits it! Yes, it’s only possible when feeding balls and it makes a huge difference in consistency. Try it and let me know.
