Hey Omar - what I did with the 5ds packs in the binder: I chose 24 slots and I added the ultimate and ultra of the ghost rare in the first top row next to the booster - looks actually pretty cool in my opinion

24:58 this is a big one for me. If Konami is going to reprint a card in a rarity it already has I believe it should have alternate art. Konami needs to do more alternate arts it would make the original print, original art that much more collectible

Perfect first episode, every guest was insightful and respectful, which led to a quality discussion on the topics that lesser-informed members of the community want simple answers to. On the topic of RP01, as long as there is at least one clear and discernible change to differentiate between the original print and the reprint, then I can just about stomach it from my personal collecting perspective. However, taking my personal collecting hat off, it just shows that Konami will never put their consumer base first when it comes to decisions regarding reprinting.

I disagree on the Retro Pack opinions. Retro Pack has a ton of great reprints for old school and even goat format, cool rarity changes, and nostalgia bait pack art and name. Now add double the chance of pulling chase cards from some of the most iconic sets from duel monsters, this set has huge appeal to casuals and budget collectors. Also, you guys are way over-exaggerating how much the Retro Pack reprint will affect the originals pricing. We've already seen with Legendary collection 2017 reprint and 25th anniversary that Konami either won't or can't print cards that look the same as the originals from the 2000s. Any collector looking to spend 3-4 figures on Retro Pack original print cards would be able to instantly tell the difference. Unless they literally got upper deck to print the retro pack reprint, I doubt we would ever see cards that looked the same. I just don't see the prices being affected much. Its two completely different markets. Just like how unlimited LOB packs from 2002 are ~$150 and 2017 reprints are~$15, Retro pack will be the same.

Why is there no ghost rare psa 10 of the Stardust 1st Ed or why is it so rare? And why is there no recent sale data? Maybe you could make a video about what ghost rares have shit quality and what ghost rares are easy to grade.

The real question is, will they reprint in the same cardstock as the original 🤔 I doubt it. RP01 & 2 have amazing card quality and I love having those cards in my goat decks.

Retro pack 1 getting reprint doesn’t mean shit. Original print is original print, I think it’s good for people to get those cards man. There’s tons of things to collect. And how do you not know who retro pack one is for? It’s for the normies who watch yugioh on Netflix. You guys are stuck in these limited ways of thinking. They reprinted the 6 legacy sets and all the old shit to catch the normies because they are preparing for something big. The entire yugioh market is shifting. I believe the next yugioh boom is a rumbling. Most of you guys holding on to these high end cards weren’t gonna get rid of them anyways, and if it’s about principle of collector items supposed retain value then here is your sign to sell! If you’re not gonna sell then let everyone have a shot at secret rares?! lol you high Enders get mad selfish sometimes. When this is all said and done retro pack 1 reprint 4 pack box won’t hurt your collections. You even said retro pack 1 had shitty printing and was only available certain places so what the problem? Again, the next few years of yugioh is gonna be insane for collecting. Just get psyched and prepare for that.

There is much less alpha lotuses than 1100, there may have been 1100 printed, but back in the day lotuses were seen as a garbage pull, i personally witnessed 2 alpha lotuses torn apart in front of my eyes as a kid when they were taken out of packs by other people. They were seen as absolute trash.

Re what to do with the 5Ds sets - they all have 8 Secrets and 1 Ghost Rare - so you can put each set on 1 page each with the ghost rare centred. Ive always viewed Ultimate Rares as an "alt art" / extra on top of the cards standard rarity so have always set my ultimate Rares separately.
