The white man tries to help the gray man (who was sad in the rain) by advising him to be under the tree. Gray doesn't understand and white leaves, thinking he wasted his time. This short has a hidden meaning: The gray person is going through a moment of depression and cannot find a solution to his problem. He cannot see the world clearly and is not understood by others. Sometimes to help others we have to understand that people see things in different ways and not everything that is easy for some is easy for others. The reason the short is so difficult to understand is precisely because of the latter.
