Aww, Nicole the Gamer Girl & Gay Mergirl isn't in the vocal tier anymore, that's too bad that was always my favorite name, and just to be sure I did go back through old videos to find the right name, and it took me a couple hours, I got quite unlucky with my picks xp she's definitely in the Rockman 4 one.

I actually got docked points a lot of the time with the note "show your work" because I'd do bonkers ass calculations like the problem is "5X11" and I'd go "5X10=50, 50+5=55" instead of the boring multiplication equation

I was thinking for a lil about how Gamerchamp played these games in reverse order, starting with 3&K, then 2&K and now 1&k; but I realized that she's probably playing them in Knuckles release order and playing each game by the order you're able to play as knuckles, making this the correct play order :D I may be very completely wrong but its a fun idea

some people saying another ytber is more to the point and doesn't "waste time" on semantics, do you not realize the semantics were used to be way more entertaining? that's excelent writing, anyone could play the challenge with enough time and effort, but could you make even the rules this fun to watch, where it evokes laughs as well as her? even if you could, this is unique and wonderful work by gamechamp, so much so that it's enjoyed by all the fans. when it starts like this, you know it's a great video!

Well, from a programming point of view, it is impossible for L1 to be mapped as left input until you have pressed it, the computer has to first know which button you want it to be remapped to then assign it to left

I don't know what's more surprising: how you managed to beat this game (almost) never pressing left or right, or the fact that you were surprised that a PC game would let you go through menus using the mouse.

fun fact: someone was trying to do sm64 levels with the least amount of a presses, and discovered that holding a and not releasing it counts as 0.5 a presses, so technically, at marble 2, you can just try to complete the level and then the whole game while holding right to get a run with a total right press count of 0.5
@Gamechamp3000Күн бұрын
Holding the button before the level starts is called a "half A press" as shorthand for individual level runs because it's using an extended press from an earlier level, which wouldn't up the counter in a full game run. If that were the only time in the game pressing A were needed, it would still be considered 1 A press.

TLDR: release order. The story is not complex. If you play from release order you learn the entire story of what Tetsuya Nomura was trying to convey to the audience. People that say the game is complex or convoluted, either never paid attention to the story (extremely important because if you don’t you can miss small details that can end up being important a few games later), played out of order and were massively confused, or are simply far too young to have basic comprehension. There, 47 minutes condensed to a few lines. That’s all. Anyone making any other crap up about it is insane, misleading you, or has a kindergarten educational level. Have fun and happy gaming.

Even without the confirm button confirmation, for the game to remap the left input to another button, it has to know what button you want to remap it to, so it definitively cannot be the left input while you are pressing it in said menu even if it "immediately" remapped it. the input logic would have been dealt with and dumped before remapping logic even began. Same frame, but still explicitly afterwards. On a completely unrelated sidenote, gamechamp3000 makes for good content to watch while programming
@Gamechamp30002 күн бұрын
This logic only works if you assume the button is released at the earliest possible moment such that it is no longer pressed after the remapping. If the button is still held down, even for a fraction of an instant, after remapping, that would still count as a left input. Since it's basically impossible to know for certain if you pressed the button only for the smallest possible fraction of time, we have no choice but to assume failure. This discussion was cut from the script for time, you see

A note on that whole semantics section at the beginning: If you’re playing the nintendo switch version of sonic origins in handheld mode, all the menus can be navigated via the touch screen, removing the need to move anything other than your arm to the right or left.
