I have ONH and legally blind in my right eye, glasses don’t help. But thank God I was able to get a drivers license. It was a struggle growing up with this disability. It’s great to know I’m not alone! ❤

hi, I would recommend lazarillo It is an app that is similar to google maps but a lot more discriptive. It tells you where to go, and when you're going the wrong way, it will tell you for example, turn 165° to the right or left So it is very discriptive. It also tells you places nearby where you are. One more thing it does is, if you are going the wrong way, or need to turn left or right then the phone will vibrate before giving you instructions. It also tells you how long to continue forward for example continue 316 feet. Finally, the App will tell you what road to turn onto for example turn right onto Crescent Road

I am visually impaired, and the walking away from me without saying anything happened to me before I was on a class field trip and I stayed with my friend so That I wouldn’t get lost well she walked away from me and when I noticed finally, she was Completely gone I have some vision, but not enough to distinguish faces, and I can’t see clearly for more than a couple feet in front of me so I had to rely on my class to find me before some stranger did Well I Had a panic attack. The teachers found me, and then sort of implied that it was my fault Those teachers in that school sucked in more ways than just that

I wish you the best, I'm 62 years old and was born with SOD, didn't know what it was called until about 10 years ago. I'm blind in the left eye, really bad sinuses - almost no sense of smell, was given Human HgH when I was a child which helped me reach 5ft 3in. Adrenal and Thyroid seem to be working fine, I have them checked now and then. Although my weight is on the high side (230 lbs), take blood pressure medicine and diabetic type II. They caught on to the pituitary when I was around 12 years old, so there was ample time to correct growth some. Fortunately, I have a deep nose bridge which helped extend my peripheral vision on my blind side It was hard to diagnose when I was growing up, MRI's hadn't been invented yet - so I had lots and lots of test. Later on, when MRI's came out my pituitary showed up as an incidental when I had my neck examined. What I've not figured out is if this condition is related to random pinpoint pains that show up in different parts of the body at different times.

I am so excited about this! I am just now starting to learn makeup at 17 as a visually impaired person and I think this can help a lot! Since it is more basic I can see how this can help teens like me who are interested in makeup!! I can’t wait to see how this ilpiriges and evolves

People talk to the person they feel is in charge. I had “presence” until my 40s. The work I was doing. I was *take charge*. When I understood friends, family comments. I came upon a train/pickup accident. *no injuries*. I had come from a country/Western bar/line dance. Except my hat I had boots, belt, custom Western shirt.. EVERYONE checked in with me. Train Engineer, tow truck driver, pickup driver. I told everyone “see that guy wearing a badge, he has a flashlight, & a gun? Yes the Police Officer. HE is in charge” Think restaurant waiter asking guy only. But times 4.

I just spent 5 days in the hospital and secondary adrenal insufficiency is my suspected diagnosis. I was in a crisis. I live in the US & the doctors never thought of this. I found it as a possible solution while they were scratching their heads. They did the tests & were positive. I go next week to the endocrinologist for a repeat of those tests, just to be sure. But they already put me on the treatment & I'm feeling so much better!

I have congenital ONH, strabismus and heterochromia in my right eye. I was also born with a cataract, removed in my 20’s. My blindness has always been a problem for other people. Funny enough, when I tell people I’m blind in my right eye, they speak louder. Cracks me up.
