*She was a most singular lady and woman. Gifted with an enormous talent. She is a once-in-a-millennium talent, woman, and human being. Thank you for sharing your gift with us, Ms. Piaf, and thank you, Marion Cotillard for consummately giving life to Ms. Piaf on screen. Félicitations!*

I don't like this movie, they turned Piaf into a sad clown

I can't remember a better performance by any actor in any film. Marion Cotillard stole Edith Piaf's soul, her body and voice and gave one of the best performances ever to be captured.

Maybe when she goes back to Fortune-teller to talk about her possible better than her current life all week… That’s is so sad. So big. And almost time so Subtle. 😢

I cried so so much in the ending of this movie, when the lights were on again I wasn't the only one😊. Terrific film and one of the best performances in cinema history by Marion Cotillard, a well-deserved Oscar

the french flag was on her box when she died... because she was honored for acts of resistance in WW2. she was already a star, going to french prisonners camp in germany to sing for the boys, taking pictures with them, and going back to france giving the pictures to make fake id for the boys to escape easier... such a lady... i don't believe in gods but she might have been send by one of them... listen to edith singing always go straight to the depth of the soul... france is more famous because edith piaf than for eiffel tower... a french lover of "la mome piaf ".

How Marion Cotillard achieved this blows my mind. Edith on her death bed and on the beach, those moments are so convincing. Talk about disappearing into a part.

This may seem sinical and cruel, but I don’t think that Marion Cotillard can ever improve on her performance as Edith Piaf. As many have said before, she didn’t act the role she lived it, she was Edith Piaf.
