You helped me remember how I first felt on my first small airplane ride! Thank you for your FRESH reminder of how people first respond to the beautiful gift of flight! I have been flying professionally now for 45 years; but you reminded me how privileged all of us are to FLY!!!! Thanks! Old ATP, but still flying!

Dr Ross how are you. Question the bumper brackets in the rear of your bus look like the one in my bus Casper . I am thinking mine are bent up and need straightened, I won’t know until I try to install the bumper. Have you tried the bumper in yours
@DrRossDunlap5 ай бұрын
Yes actually they are perfect. Don’t bend them down. It seems the bumper contour is curved to fit that way. I did use all new carriage bolts and it lined right up. Happy tinkering!

Did you not insolate the roof? If so that seems a major oversite. Most of your heat escapes through the roof.

This came out beautiful, only concern is the cement block supporting the shed you have it where the 4x4 is centered on the thin wall of the block vs turning the block for the side walls of the block hold the weight overall that’s my 😅only thing I would do differently came out beautiful 😻

Congratulations on getting it running again! Putting the engine back in single handed isn't too easy... I've just done an oil change on my 1970 camper so know that feeling of lying on the floor with oil dripping onto your arm as you fight to get the strainer out. The oil switch that lights up red (hopefully only briefly) on the dash is oil pressure. Really enjoying following your progress on this - thank you for sharing.

Oh man ..I’m glad my Subie Sambars motor is dead in the rear! That looked back breaking🤕 I love my sambar, work the snot out of it, with no mercy. Kei trucks are cool little buggers. That Carry looks in really great shape but that carb situation is bonkers. Japan is very mountainous with thin air and dense jungle air. I’m sure there’s a method to their madness with whatever kinda wizardry they got cooked up here.

I ripped out the headliner in my sailboat then just painted it, looks awesome& so much easier than doing 40 x13 ft of head liner haha. I personally wouldn't waste time or $$$ on a headliner. My Ghia has some type of headliner someone must have done in the 80s. Its like 1/4in thick rubber squares, weird but looks fine& I never changed it.
