This helps me so much. First time I’ve slept more than 5 hours in years. Beta blockers are also amazing for anxiety without side effects.

My aunt gave me a 10 mg hydroxyzine because of insomnia and I slept like a rock with no hangover but there’s no way I would consider taking this 4 times a day

I had steroid induced psychosis and it was the worst experience of my life. It lasted 10 days. I probably should have been admitted but thankfully my family heard my plea that I didn’t want to be admitted and they took care of me. I saw bugs everywhere, demonic entities, heard voices, etc. thanks for sharing your story.

I took it a few times, and once or twice I had feeling of almost loosing control over my body in a sense of fearing going asleep will make brain stop completely from controlling autonomic functions like breathing, heartbeat ect... Never had anything like that in life. But recently when I was laying down on bed and trying feel less of my body "anxiety", trying to empty my mind. I felt like all sensations from my body started collapsing in matter of milliseconds into my brain, as I felt it immediately left this state bc it felt kinda dangerous. Maybe my nervous system was about to shutdown or I shutdown my own mind. But I would not be surprised if I wouldn't get out of this process I would fell in coma or sth would be dead in my mind. But this could be also that my brain figure out how to stop feeling nervous system in order to avoid stimuli. I also one time achieved cutting off facial nervous/muscle mimic system. My face felt really cold and my face was expressionless. It was my first day of studies and I felt really unbearably uncomfortable with my mimics on my face and with all my mental will I tried to cut off connection between my brain and face. I hope I will have opportunity to achieve this in future. This was only possible bc I had unbearable stimuli which pressed me into taking this mental action. From my own will on my own I would be able to do it. My main explanation is I have Asperger(autism) so the sensory-stimuli stuff is really problematic. Nervousness, anxiety, uncontrolled nervous-sensory system ect... Always had problem with crying looking like eyes, bc light is very sensitive stimuli. But when I managed to stop this stimuli it went different way and started affecting me in other aspects, like earlier mentioned uncontrolled facial expression, mainly blushing around people which makes me insanely uncomfortable and feeling socially inappropriate against my will. And if I'll manage to stop blushing this stimuli is overdriving my nerves and I got left eye's nerve-pain which I wasn't able to stop for 3 months and it damaged my vision slightly. It's better to feel uncomfortable rather than damaging slowly my vision organ.

keep in mind, with any pill, you can cut in half, then half again if something feels strong. I was prescribed Xanax and Klonipin for as needed over the years, and they were .5 - i have taken 1/4 of a pill of those less than 10 times over last 20 years because i'm so afraid of them....too strong. Need a SSRI now...no benzo. Thanks for the review on this, i'm looking for an as needed anxiety pill for emergencies...

So I read this super fascinating research article that the word “high functioning” like anxiety, depression, addict is actually a really disabling word bc having these things isn’t functioning lol so they want to change it to a “high masking” bc we are so good at masking it but it still affecting us so much on the inside and that shouldn’t be overlooked at bc we are still experiencing it.. just curious on your thoughts !! It’s super new and I loved it so I was curious
@toriebrame3419Ай бұрын
Interesting! I think of the meaning of functioning and while it’s not ideal - I can keep a job, wash myself and my kids, feed myself and my kids, pay bills on time. So I’m still a “functional” member of society. I agree we are masking tho! I also relate it to autism - high functioning autism can have jobs, relationships, degrees etc. low functioning people might need special care and facilities. Just like low functioning anxious people might not be able to hold a job etc. those are my thoughts 😂🤷🏻♀️ take it with a grain of salt ❤️❤️

Hi Torie. I’m on year 25 with Lupus and Sjogrens. I’ve been on Plaquenil for 24 years, but my ophthalmologist has encouraged me to stop it if approved by my rheumatologist. I was on Benlysta for a few weeks until I had to have emergency hip surgery. Can you tell me how you got past the fear of all the possible dangers of Benlysta and has it caused you to pick up illnesses, viruses, etc. more often? Thank you.
@toriebrame3419Ай бұрын
I love Benlysta. It gave me my life back. I had no energy and such intense joint, tendon, and muscle pain I almost couldn’t move at all. I was talking to a friend about the possible dangers of benlysta before I started taking it and she said “but what kind of life are you saving without taking it?” That was all I needed. 6 years in and my lupus is undetectable on the last year of blood draws. That was my reasoning and outcome and I know it’s not the same for everyone 🤍 I hope this helps.
