When moving a unit into an enemy's flank, disable the "formation attack" button (it looks like a square with an X through it) so that your units will crowd in and attack unimpeded by where they were in the formation.

I'm a beginner and this is my first time playing total war rome series. I started with total war rome 2. One time I was raiding a village in a grand campaign as a roman. I killed around 8-9cards enemy unit with just 5 cards of my troops. I bait all the enemy outside town using general and let my main army capture and defense the city. When my general exhausted and flee to the city. My main army crushed their archer, killed their general and routed their main army. It's a win with almost low damage and no casualties.

i was expecting u to say athen/sparta combo since in all my playthru, it these 2 faction that would go on to conquer half of the map. tylis is like a minor faction that of no consequences, they either get conquer by me or said alliance. so quite a controversial take u got there......

I really want to buy Rome 2, but its kinda expensive, and I was just wondering if its really worth the money?

The hardest part for me is that now I’m running out of fuel because I’ve deforested the whole area. The foresters are planting trees but they take 3 years to grow back. I tried to get the woodcutters to go to the neighboring conquered region and cut their forest, but they want to spend all their time in their vegetable garden. I demolished some of their homes so they’d go to work lmaoooo

Principe are stupid underrated early game. They steamroll everything and are absolute chads in garrisons. One principe unit solo'd 2 Libyan hoplites, 2 iberian swords, 2 javelins, an injured elephant unit and half a Carthagian Cav.

2:05 would building a tannery early on with hunting not be better. Set up supply lines early and then when you upgrade 1 turn it into shoe making right away. Or is this method faster? Im only 19 hours in on my 2nd run :D

Hi, I'm Kirie, an author of R2HD let me explain... Basically each R2HD mod is support for a specific DLC campaign of Rome 2. Legacy of Rome is for Grand campaign, Sol Invictus is for Empire Divided... You can find details about which R2HD mod is support for which campaign. You just need to activate one R2HD mod that support the campaign you are gonna play.

1. Placing farms in the wood is waste because, you should first make log camp to cut down those trees, this way the resources are not wasted 2. even if you put all the buildings and pause them, the game will count thouse resources needed to build already consumed, and you will not be able to build anything else. 3. You dont have to cut trees or build anything to make animals move, just put hunters camp in the circle while game is paused, it will move it, and you can do that as many times to move them where you want for no cost and no time

I thibk you are underselling cimmeria. They have very strong elite hoplites which have high killing potential and they also have very decent mid tier hoplites. They also have the best archers in the entire game. Where they do lack is that they have no sword infantry and their cav is lacking but besides that they are strong
