The center runway (Runway 02C/20C is now in operation as of this year, planes will depart there once given the instructions by the Singapore ATC to a certain flight to take-off at that runway.

Is this seat wider and has longer pitch than the a320? Or how you would rate compared to the A330?
@FlyingAsia4 күн бұрын
Hey Jason, I’d say this seat is narrower than the A320 but pitch is almost the same. I honestly don’t really enjoy the new slimline seats on the A321NEO, it won’t be comfortable on longer journeys. I’d say the A330 is still the best in their fleet.

Nice hard landing. But remember hard landings can cause more maintenance for both the runways and aircraft as well as these can wear the wheels in some cases.

I flew on JL35 from Tokyo Haneda to Singapore back in March 2024. The only difference is that my aircraft was a Boeing 787-8 Dreamliner. I also flew domestically from Tokyo Haneda to Sapporo New Chitose on a Boeing 767-300ER with a domestic configuration meaning no IFE onboard. One thing I agree with you is that JAL should offer 2 meal options.

Also pretty sure the crew at 21:39 is singaporean by her accent, JAL has Singapore based cabin crew, usually about 3 on each flight, hired for their mandarin proficiency. Finnair and Cathay also have SG based crew

Am flying JL38 and JL35 next week! Timely review except that they have now switched the aircraft to a 787. I've only flown SG based airlines internationally since 2018 so trying JAL was something new, especially since it was 400$ cheaper than SQ. Honestly am apprehensive about the experience cos having just one meal option is consistent on most of their flights. The IFE is catered more for the japanese, which I get, but this review just made me miss flying with SQ more lol. At least on SQ they offer cocktails in Economy and I can request for cup noodles or a wider array of snacks whenever...
@LoneStarFlightReviewsАй бұрын
Back then I used to think JL was the creme de la creme of airlines and they used to earn my sweet spot after I took JL38 and JL16 (both videos on my channel - I couldn't post the link otherwise KZfaq would mark it as spam). ...and when you say the IFE lacked responsiveness and they lacked one more meal service, I was about to disagree....until I took Starlux SFO-TPE-SIN (it is also out on my channel, as a birthday special). I must say compared to my JL flights last summer, Starlux outclassed them in any aspects except probably the meal. Yes I got less legroom, but their IFE was way more nicely programmed and more responsive. The meal from SFO to TPE was meh, but the one from TPE to SIN (will be premiered next week) was bodacious. Tbh both Taiwanese and Japanese carriers are THAT close; but considering I can get the same service for cheaper I think I'll start taking more JX and BR flights compared to JL and NH. Nice analysis and video as always!

Thank you for watching mate, would definitely like to try Starlux one day!

I flown the SQ A350-900 (Medium Haul) from SIN to Guangzhou and the service was good. The in flight map system was very good. This displays innovative features including aircraft registration, bearing, latitude and longitude, date of flight. As well you can zoom in through the cities to find out the population, elevation, time. Downs: unfortunately, it doesn’t have the live TV. Only the long haul and ultra long haul a350 have the live TV. Fun fact: the medium a350 uses Thales (No Live TV) while the Long haul a350 uses Panasonic (Live TV).

The only problem i have with the new trend of seat is lack of padding. It so thin and firm like an ironboard. If its a short haul flight, its not a big deal. But if its 2 to 3 hours of flight on it, i might need to stop at massage chair for a moment 😂.
