Never EVER EVER in my life I've met a person who'd be just as pissed as Nate if someone couldn't attend their birthday because of work. Like i remember being 15 and we had some exam at school exactly on my birthday so i knew that everyone would be too stressed out to attend my party including me. So i said: "hey my birthday is on Thursday but let's meet at the weekend so everyone is in the mood?" and everyone thought the same. WHY 15YO ME DIDN'T CONSIDER IT A BIG DEAL BUT A GROWN ASS MAN DID👁👁 usually when you're 21+ you're happy when someone at least remembers about your birthday at all

I always hated TAB. yuck, Never understood how anyone liked it but each to their own. BTW I don't know what world everyone else lived in but I never even saw a computer until I was a young adult and was working for an agency cleaning somewhat well-to-do families. I went into the house, was awestruck by the lady right away as she was very tall, pretty and well dressed. She gave me instructions and left. I was blown away.. #1 she trusted me to be there alone #2 her "office had a big desk with a computer on it and she had big book cases and a sort of trophy wall and one pic was of her accepting an award on a stage. I was SO impressed! Blew me away and I was just in love with the idea that some day I could be like her. She was a very nice person as well which was sort of a shock for someone of "means" at that level. She had a large conversation style couch dark blue with white and very nice material (velvety) and I hand cleaned every square inch of it. I even remember how nice it smelled in that house. Anyway, she almost certainly had a Macintosh. I would love to go back to those early years but we can't go back.

The WarGames story always fascinated me, even though I was too young when it was new to understand it. (I was 3 years old when it came out and 5 when I first remember seeing it on TV.) Afterward, I grew into the story. I related to how the game-playing fever and the fear of nuclear war were completely respective but were successfully interwoven in this context. I think that Tab jingle was included in What’s Love Got to Do With It, in the scene when the Tina Turner character is minutes away from making her brake. Furthermore, I remember drinking it a few times in my youth. Can’t remember how it tasted, and I was tempted to get a 12-pack when I lived alone so I could remind myself. Wasn’t too keen on getting a 12-pack of something I wasn’t sure I wasn’t going to have than more than one of, however. Straight up, now tell me. Should I just settle for drinking Coke Zero? P. S. The Commodore 64-style interpretation of John Williams’ Star Wars Episode I score is a killer find.

Lmao. Peeeeuuuupppple. A. KZfaq is an entertainment platform. KZfaq and Google even say so in their description. B. Even if Daniel is the real bully happened in a bar and not KZfaq…people have the right to formulate whatever view or opinion they want about a movie or content…meaning that this KZfaqr has all the right in the world to believe Johnny is the good guy. Just like to me Million dollar man was the real American..not hulk hogan. It’s my opinion atleast and I’m sticking to it. C. I think we all agree that 80s featured too much one way ness and cobra Kai and its diverse presentations where both sides could be both good and bad was awesome. So in closing the author is not entirely wrong about karate kid and I a 44yr old can see he obviously grew up in the 80s and 90s and it was the cool norm to switch the narrative. I like darth better than Luke, I liked Draco better than rocky, there way so many one way signs that guys like me and the author above too was like ahh fuck the script we are going this way. And it’s a good quality to have when applied properly. And let’s face it. Johnny had the swag and was easier to like..even in cobra Kai. Even the real life nerd crowd has more muscle than scrawny larusso. He is the weird kid that looked like my #2 sharpie pencil gave birth to Daniel. He was more likable and relatable in cobra Kai. Weirdo.

Her friend didnt mind taking the expensive handbag, that came only because she works in a fashion industry, howverr was quick to call her a glamazon and judge her because a guy kissed her cheek. Plus she was so disappointed in her going to Paris, when infact an opportunity like that is something to celebrate. She really peed me off

I actually hate when she calls him up to tell him she's going to quit, and he's on the phone smiling saying "good for you", rather than telling her to maybe try harder. He even turns up in the evening to celebrate her unemployment and was disappointed to know she actually successfully completely the task given by miranda and decided to not quit.

i also really didn't like nate and her feinds. and the thing that gets me most is that everyone says "you DID have a choice Andy" especially in regards to paris becuase i SPECIFICALLY reember the part where miranda brought it up. andy TRIED DENYING THE TRIP SAYING IT SHOULD BE EMILY'S and miranda said something like "i guess you don't want your job. or a job in this industry." she basically threatened to blacklist her if she didn't do this. that doesn't leave her a whole lot of choice in the matter

Ive always kinda hated Andy’s friends and Nate in this movie. They all seem to be mad that she’s changing which is something people just do?!?! I hate the scene where they take her but phone when Miranda calls. The lack of respect for her and her trying to better her career is crazy throughout the movie. A story of a woman being villainized by ppl who are supposed to be supporting her.
@cheriremily9360
@cheriremily9360 6 ай бұрын
You nailed it because 'romance' is always supposed to be more important to a woman than living her dream. Chasing a man to a city without a job or any goal at all, yup. He's moving up and she's going nowhere. That's a 'happily ever after' shit that is fed to little girls to keep them thinking their only goal in life is to get married and have babies, and life will be a bed of roses. Hmm, nope. Sad thing is a woman wrote the script. Let's get a picture of Andy ten years down the line. You do know that Nate will probably move on to someone else who can help him in his career. Where will Andy be?? Divorced and trying to pick up the pieces of a career she threw away to chase Nate to Boston.

From personal experience and study i think Nate has strong narcissistic tendencies if not being an outright diagnosable narcissist or at the least is an emotional abuser. The negging, the diminishing of goals, the gaslighting, total lack of empathy or support, the coercive emotional control and manipulation, calculated emotional attakcs (the bday scene), the hyperfocus on his needs and how things affect him, only approving of andi when it benefits him (sexy lingere) her deciding to quit (both times). He gets worse and worse as he realises he has less an less control over her and shes outgrowing and out achieving him. SO he pushes back trying to control her through what she wears, what she thinks of the job and industry and finally that shes losing him. He hates the job and Miranda because theyve got more control over Andi than he does and are heling her move beyond him and thats a narcissit's nightmare, so he has to convice her shes changing for the worse. He got so in her head that the comment from Miranda was enough to send Andy into an identity panic, causing her to forget she doesnt need to become miranda and only has to last a year to have whatever career she dreams of, instead she runs back to her abuser and diminishes herself and prospects for him. Then finally with a shit eating grin once she told him he was right and she grovels and apologises he gives her the olive branch of coming with him whilst he does EXACTLY what she just did but in a new location so he can be a bigger fish in a smaller pond and isolate her from what shes built in NY. Its genuinely a horror story about coercive emotional control, poor self worth and toxic realtionships.

something you didn't know about StarWars, the guy who plays R2D2 during a signing, a starstruck fan asked him to sign a picture "blah blah blah.. from Kenny Baker" he responded with a bit of a short temper "I know my own name thank you" must have been a long day so R2D2 was a bit of a dick and today probably he would have been entirely robotic or CGI instead of a guy in a garbage bin

Her friends were extremely immature. This is why you stop befriending lame friends from high school who aren’t on the same path as you. Like wow, she grew up and learned how to dress like an adult and chased her dreams…good for her. Her friends aren’t apart of that. I was the new kid in 9th grade, and a couple years after high school I stopped being friends with many of those kids I met because I realized I had zero in common with them. From personality to our wants, we were different. Many of them didn’t even want to leave the state, meanwhile I wasn’t from their state to begin with, so it meant little for me to stay there…. even my parents moved out of the state eventually. That’s why the concept of staying friends with the same people for decades is corny and many times holds you back. So many people I know who went off and did cool things with their lives weren’t wasting their time concerned about what their friends from their teen years thought. Andy should have dumped her friends and her bf the second they mocked her for trying to better herself. Like would they have also mocked her if she had joined the military or decided to be an actor or dressed all gothic. Those friends couldn’t accept that people change and grow, and at 25 you’re not going to be the same person that you were in high school. Sounds like their insecurities were projected onto her because they didn’t have the guts to better themselves and achieve something.
