So you tighten the rear grub screw to bring the toes downward and reverse to lift the toes higher and heel downwards??? Also at the same time working the opposite screw in the opposite direction??? Tighten one and loosen the opposite other?? Great video though 👍👍👍

Five days ago a relative had the left fot/leg cut about 30cm below the knee. She´s just had her 80´s birthday - but I really want her to get the best prosthetic leg/fot available. Sure. Was a while since she climbed mountains and run marathons, but I belive that she would prefer the benefits of a lighter, more agile, and more dampend foot. Sweden. Not sure how the authorities rule about the cost´s.. Perhaps she´ll get a wooden leg :/

I'm glad you're doing well. Great to see you here. I'm still teaching, playing music and was playing tennis with the great All Pro XTS foot. A few weeks ago, out of the blue, my wrist started hurting and my hand got swollen. Had an X Ray. Nothing. I do have periodic pain in my wrist. It's better but still not right in one spot so no tennis yet.

I just got a 2024 ORP. I also have a BTK amputation of my right foot. I drive with my left foot same as I have seen you do. The 4Runner is a tight fit for my prosthetic. I’m tall so it’s clumsy to say the least. I only have about 4500 miles on my truck. The KO2s are my next tire I believe. Thanks for your advice. I’m just over one year with the amputation. It’s tough at times.

Just curious…I have been using the Allpro for 4 years now, but am getting a new one and switching to the xts. Just wondering if you know a comparison between the two to know if there’s much of a difference. I’ve tried other feet with a rotation function and they really didn’t have a rotation function. BKA here and was a pro athlete and had my knee reconstructed long before losing my leg. I’d love a rotation function to prolong my knee health.
@monoped_adventures
@monoped_adventures 2 ай бұрын
You don't really notice any rotation, but the slight absorption of rotational impact really reduces load thru my knee joint. Maybe a better way of describing it is that it feels smooth on rough terrain and high impact?

@monoped_adventures
@monoped_adventures 4 ай бұрын
No problems so far. They are a much heavier tire than stock, so power and milage will be affected. You might get slight rubbing on thr SR5 because they sit a little bit lower, but it can easily be fixed. Good luck!

They're holding up really well, with no wobble or balance issues at higher speeds. My only complaint is that they don't seem to flex as much as radials, but I haven't lowered the pressure in them at all either. I'll try them a 4 PSI and see how they react. So far, they're great.

Thanks for this video! I'm looking to replace ,my current foot with the Filauer All Pro and I noticed that you got the XTS model which has a pivot at the ankle. This only adds to the weight of a perfectly designed foot, in the function of a "normal" human foot the pivot is accomplished from the hip down to the femur and then to the foot, the foot pivots on the ball of the foot, if you pivot on the ankle, you will have a dislocated ankle. Going back to the weight, the All pro is 450 g vs the XTS which is 780 g! Sorry for my medical soapbox, I still appreciate your perfectly lucid explanations on prosthetic hardware.
@monoped_adventures
@monoped_adventures 4 ай бұрын
The XTS is not a pivot. It's a torsional shock absorber, which reduces rotational impact transfered to the socket and knee.

@ruygutierrez2995 789g, but it feels much lighter because of the amount of energy return. I've tried a lighter Ossur and Ottobock K3/K4 type foot and neither of them felt as nimble as the AllPro.

I'm picking up my All Pro XTS tomorrow with the Procover Footshell and am very excited. I want it for tennis. I demoed it a few months ago. They only sent the yellow bumper for the demo, which is medium movement. I understand they sent yellow and blue for my foot, which is the most movement you can get. I'm hoping the blue works for me. I need maximum lateral movement. I just got retested at the amputee clinic a month ago and got rated a K4. My doctor put in for the Fillauer foot and Kaiser approved it thankfully. If I wasn't playing tennis, I would have gotten the regular All Pro. I agree that the All Pro XTS feels lighter than my present Ossur Pro Flex foot. Which bumper do you use? I am getting this foot in part because of your videos. Thanks so much!!!! @@monoped_adventures

How do you find the ride with the LT tires compared to stock (city roads, highway, offroad)? Im having the same debate from 265/70/17 SL tires vs 275/70/17 LT (E rated) tires. And its about 10-12 lbs more weight per tire.
@monoped_adventures
@monoped_adventures 4 ай бұрын
They do ride rougher on the highway, and there is some power loss with the wieght, but they are holding up really well for all the abuse I've put them through off road, especially in the sharp, broken rocks on many higher trails around here.

Being an amputee is nothing to joke about,amputees get a second chance to live daily activities as normal as possible but it is very difficult and painful,I’ve been an amputee for 11yrs and I’m still having difficulties adjusting to my new life,I used to be very active physically not as much anymore,besides the equipment is very expensive with or without health insurance,don’t wish for something that could make your life miserable,good luck on your life.
