i would pick msfs. the flight model is more than sufficient and visually xplane12 can't hold a candle

Thanks for the questions I always appreciate when people are asking me things. 1) quality inside VR is better because the 2D mirroring is a downsampling due to the need to fit the view to 1080p res in my case. 2) Yes you can get closer to instruments and they become huge! 3) Yes the headset can fit eyeglasses inside it and can be adjusted for different sizes. 4) Vibrations are only visible in the 2D video mirroring, inside the VR it's all smooth and comfortable. 5) The duration of the VR session can be very long and it's up to the users tolerance. If you have motion sickness it comes at the very beginning, not with time so the duration doesn't matter. I personally can fly a nonstop 2 hrs VR session with no problems at all. Go with the VR it's a game changer!

You cannot compare VR with screens, also multiple wide screens... VR is another story a completely different universe. The 2D video is not representative of what you see and feel inside the headset. You have to try. I also often use liners with VR.

Hi, you can use native Quest link with OpenXR either with cable or Air Link. Another option is Virtual Desktop (best option but I cannot make XP videos with it). Thanks for watching.

@@crisk73 remember that you can record VD videos inside the headset (quest 3), with image stabilizer, but I feel that have less quality than with Quest Link...I have some hangs lately with Quest Link and XP12 but with VD all works fine...have you experienced something similar? btw, nice video mate, very nice video!Thx!

Performance is surely better with VD I agree and I normally use it if I don't need to record XP videos. I know I can use the internal recorder but videos get that annoying black side band that I cannot stand... Thanks!

@@nathantw yes this is true in 2D even if you can somehow move the view outside of the cockpit. In VR it's different because you have plenty of space to move your head off the cockpit and enjoy the scenery.

I use a post processing stabilization filter. It removes the shaking but can introduce some stutters because some frames get removed.

Sorry to say that I don't have XP11 anymore on my pc and all those plugins don't work or aren't needed in XP12 which I'm currently using.

You need a 4000 series to get rid of stuttering. 4070 super or better.

I think you should need to reinstall. Try with no other addons in Community.

Check your bandwidth.

There are 17 world update packages and several city updates as well. Get them all.

If I remember correctly you have to decrease the throttle a bit to start descending.

No, cable link is worse than Virtual Desktop. This is 40 fps in the 2D video but I get 80 in the headset.

You should be able to see those effects by default, you don't need to set up anything.

For me it always runs. The scenery is not good everywhere though. Some areas are pixelated some have bad colours.

Hi I keep 40 fps fixed which is half the refresh rate of the headset.

Set your resolution to the lowest because its only your output window. Set pixel density to 0.8 with DLSS to Quality. then check the "use system resolution".. im playing with the 4080S on a Reverb G2 and i have a fixed 90fps

Yes... to make videos with VR is not easy because you.are prone to move your head to enjoy the view but you have to limit movements to record.

Definitely it's worth trying because it's a WOW experience! With a good strap it's also comfortable for a liner.
