damn this game is losing heat quickly, can they get one thing right? we really need the patch to breathe some life into helldivers

I think we got the mission nailed (with a friend) to a point where it's kinda easy (Helldive) unless we have griefers (or noobs?). It's basically the same idea as in the video. Keep stunning everything (we use stun mortar, stun orbital and grenades). Drill on top of those rocks if necessary (bad rng or teammates killing the drill) and possible. And using EATs and railgut orbital for titans (occasionally you can do your regular 500kg, precision strike etc. but only if it's far enough from the objective) Many people take 500kg, orbital laser, explosive mortars, impact grenades they throw at the drill etc. (And the drill was placed on indestructible rock by me... but maybe it was just a missclick). Placing a drill on those rocks is more of a protection against players than bugs sometimes... But the mission bug breach fix helped a lot. One time we even got a guy that had a noisy microphone (so he got muted, learn to use pish-to-talk guys, so we don't really know what the hell he was doing) that took incendiary mines, mortal, Tesla tower and autocannon sentry. But we managed to compete the mission despite him (Tesla tower thrown directly next to a drill while it was finishing up when all 4 of us were nearby... etc).

50 levels this is the reason I stop playing this game. You cannot have that much authority to kick somebody out even if you did something wrong or not wrong. They need to fix this. This is a huge issue a big problem. There is so much time you waste if you get kicked out of a game like that and if you know anything about this life, you only have so much time.

I‘m afraid that complaining is the new mainstream in HD2 community, not even structured criticism but just complaining and crying. The mission is hard and it’s fun, you get the actual challenge in the game and it’s a so good feeling after you complete it. I mean, playing on the highest difficulty and not succeeding 100% of the times and being mad about it, is kinda stupid.

Cheesing the mission, not cheesing. It doesn't matter. Either way for me, the mission is not fun, which is the point of playing. Good luck to the other divers. The bugs can keep the planet imo. Idk what fun the devs were having when/if they played this in testing.

the 1 star thing is just a bug. People will gaslight you and say you have to extract with dark fluid , but my group and i all extracted with dark fluids , no drills destroyed and low amount of fluids called still got 1 star across all 4 of us. We stopped playing because of that actually, its kind of audacious to release a mission that literally doesnt work properly after the ongoing dissatisfaction and that was the last straw for us. Currently waiting on next patch whilst playing other games to see if it remedies anything at all

I also recommend bring orbital smoke stratagem for bile titans. Orbital EMS and stun grenades are great for small unites, but orbital smoke can gain valuable seconds because making those bile titans difficult to aim. Also good against the shrikers.

And here I am having 3 titans spawn ten meters away from the drill. You either 1) kill one or more and the legs swing wildly out of control thus destroying the drill, 2) they auto target the drill and spew at it, destroying it instantly, or 3) or they dont target the drill, start chasing after you, and they accidentally step on the drill. Or maybe all 3. Failed a mission bc of that, 4 guys, and we couldnt get a single drill done. Absolutely ridiculous.

Ahhhh...now it works very well...just spam the drill on a high peak and drop 300 stun grenades to finish the mission...yes, now it works very well...they really have to fix all those stuf, also trying before releasing....

Can someone explain how the other objective is supposed to work? I do the drills and get out and I only complete one of the objectives. I read you have extract with a dark fluid back pack but that didn’t help

When I saw laser cannon C tier I was like broooo no way! And then I realized you split the video for each weapon against bugs vs each one against bots 😂 duh lol

The stalwart reslly should be a primary doesn't have a point as a support weapon.

What i learned from Doh is that you throw your supply pack and supplies into the largest collection of bugs so your chances of survival are minimal.

The Jetpack is probably the only thing they got right on this mission and maybe the shriker ending, rest is just plainly annoying.

This mission is easy he says, as he's down to his last life and has to run around walls of bugs after cheesing the drills to have a chance of evac. Easy generally means easy, not run for your life and make it in by a hair. Belittling those who don't cheese levels intentionally, by saying the mission is easy, is very big of you.

Hes talking out of his ass. They nerfed/fixed it. Before this it was a nightmare.

YEap had a super ez mission with one titan spawn. Done under 10 min

Every time we called for extraction i had to make sure to tell everyone to go prone to avoid shriekers. Surprised this isn't common knowledge

I was playing on playstation and one of my good friends who got expelled from my school tried to join me so I messaged in chat "Next person who dies gets kicked" (We hadnt started the main objective and were almost to it) someone died, so I kicked them and my friend joined. once he landed we just got team killed constantly and they wouldnt reinforce us. Evenually they would die and we would all come back and same thing. I eventually kicked them after they did this a few times. After I kicked them I kept getting spammed on playstation.

Arc Thrower's clearly S tier for bugs imo, damages everything, crazy horde cleaner with the ship upgradre, 2 shots broods to the head and pushes them back , 3 shots both kinds of spewers to the head and stuns their spewing attack, free charger kills with stun nades, orbital railcannon or 500kg didn't kill a titan? Just zap it 2-3-4 times to finish it off.

The enemy AI when destructible objectives are involved is pretty wack they could give less of a damn about the helldivers Imagine if they at least had an equal chance of targeting the divers

My loadout which works for me (havnt tried it solo probabs wont) is Kg, Eagle Smokes coz they are good that would probably hide it from BTs, Anti-Tank (Quazy for backpack) and EMS mortar with stuns and incend breaker

A laser marksman rifle would be cool, like using a DC-15A out of Clone Wars

I had that KG gone missing twice in a row. I figured that it probably landed right on top of the TCS tower.

yeah its a garbo gimmick. Much better mission would of been the dark matter w/e cant get called in, they crash land around the map, and you have to load them up into an old mining depot. Similar to the SEAF arty POI. When I saw them dropping bug breeches on the Obj that was destructible i went " great , that removes 80 percent of strats and call ins. So I bring 500kg , Rail shot, Gas, and resupply. It doesn't reallly matter cause stun nades and titan removal are all that matter. PS: also had that 500kg magical disappearance thing, like, I know it can hit cliffs but I visual/audio wise cannot find the explosion and the cliffs are not massive in the places were Ive experienced it .

I wanted so bad for the _actual_ mission to be a hive lord erupting from the ground once you finished each drill and the mission objective turning to "survive" where you can either try to live the boss encounter while pelican 1 slowly reaches your location or attempt to take it down. Instead we got "lmao shriekers"
