Nice work! Some missing or wrong labels: underpass at 9.05 is Victoria Road, overpass at 12.00 is Kissing Point Road, and underpass at 14.55 is Adderton Road not Kissing Point Road. No big deal of course, and it looks fantastic. Speed, steadiness and coverage is excellent!

Hey thanks for the corrections, you are totally right of course! I must get around to fixing up the labels. I guess I was excited about how the footage looked and rush it out the door. Thanks for the kind words about the footage. I won't go into details, but the way I filmed it was not easy (no danger to anyone except myself hehe) so I'm happy when anyone likes the results. Now that testing is progressed it is no longer possible to get footage like this since the trams are running at more operational speeds.

looks good. although i like the design of the canberra trams. instead of yellow handrails it is red and also the seat design is much better. even their stops and wayfinding i found impressive.

Won’t be long for the Government to sell off the land in some shonky deal with a developer under the guise the land has to be cleared of asbestos used during WW11.

Lets hope the NSW government DON'T decide to sell this historical land off to developers to build high rise buildings calming it's to help fix the housing crisis. I can see it happen by crook politicians who would take big bribes by wealthy real estate developers. Just think how much a small new apartment would sell for in that area

Congratulations on a job well done. Its easy to see the improved adaption of the old Carlingford rail line and the benefits to the community. Both the workforce and for social mobility. Traffic and parking hassle reduction or even reduced need for a car at all in places. Well done to Transport NSW and those that thought about, planned and promoted this project.

Sydney Olympic Park offers excellent behind the scenes tours Walking tours of the Old section That's mostly accessible you've seen mostly of this on the video. The older wharf section is mostly open to view But the rich history is bought to life on the tour and the new section mostly behind security fencing is Amazing. The battery train locomotive is expected to be back running 2025. The tracks we see where in the most part Horse drawn . No plans to bring the horse back. Like i said the Behind the Scenes Armory tour Is excellent, 3-4 hours each

Are they running tram and train tracks. Is it just running through parkland? What was there before the tracks. Hopefully it hasn't destroyed parks by cutting through the middle. Do trains run on the tracks too? It doesn't show much of Parramatta and I don't know much about Sydney as I'm not from NSW. Is it part of Sydney?

Parramatta is part of Sydney. This part of the track repurposed an existing set of heavy rail tracks. The remainder of the track uses existing roadways. No parks harmed. Only these light rail trams use the tracks.

@@SydneyFloatProject In my city they've contemplated trams for 20 years but now off the agenda despite it being a previous election promise and the route being confirmed during the following terms. Now everyone has moved on. I think they're not wanting to remove lanes causing congestion. The other part of the route was going to involve removing hundreds of trees by widening road space and/or removing garden islands in the street. So that's why I was interested the utilisation of rail and other land. I think it would possibly be too difficult to share the heavy rail tracks with trains, though I'm aware that happens in some parts of the world.

How are you.. How is the flooding situation right now?
@SydneyFloatProject
@SydneyFloatProject 4 ай бұрын
Thank you for enquiring. All fine where I am. There are still some road and cycleway closures due to flooding and debris. I am not part of the emergency services but I expect most (but not all) roads near me will reopen this week unless there is more heavy rain (not predicted at present). Interestingly the road that appears in my Megalong Valley video (kzfaq.info/get/bejne/o7l7gJRq3ZvUno0.html) is cut by a landslide leaving a lot of people stranded (it is the only road in and out of the valley). I have no knowledge but some people are saying that the road could be closed for months and the people will have to be evacuated somehow. Thanks again for your interest.

So cool seeing the same trams as we have here in the English Midlands, but in the lovely sunshine, and with such a nice paint scheme too. But what seems even better is the building of a foot/cycle path alongside of the rails to give folks a sensible commuting alternative 😮 It seems so obvious but rare here.

Great clips, I absolutely hate the fact that the government didn’t make space for the whole line to be double track and some parts battery only, definitely going to cause a few disruptions that wouldn’t happen with both those things. I hope they go with a 3rd rail for the battery parts though because they won’t put a catenary due to things above or heritage stuff.
