Cool video. Thanks. Question - if I have Krayt Dragon down and my opponent plays an event that does lethal to my base does that resolve before the Krayt ability might otherwise destroy their base? Do both resolve and it’s a tie result?
@ScrubGamesDBS15 күн бұрын
I'm not sure exactly. My best guess would be that your base would reach 0 first so your opponent would win. I think a game only results in a tie if the damage done is enough to finish off both bases & is done at the exact same time.
@JohnMRaggio15 күн бұрын
@@ScrubGamesDBS Krayt mentions “when played”. Does that trigger after my card completes its effect, or before? I guess that’s really my question. I should read the comprehensive rules in general, but thought either you or another viewer might know offhand. Thanks.

When you play your card, and before your card has any effect, Krayt's ability triggers and resolves.
@JohnMRaggio14 күн бұрын
@@maremota Thanks. I read some things on Reddit group and there seems to be some confusion. So the Krayt ability could win me the game destroying my opponent's base before their event card could win them the game, assuming they played an event that would have destroyed my base? Does that still resolve or have I already won the game?
@JohnMRaggio13 күн бұрын
@@maremota I got a very detailed reply from @maindeck that says otherwise. This sounds right to me: The key is to separate Trigger and Resolution! Krayt Dragon TRIGGERS on the event being played, but cannot resolve until the event has completed its abilities: 7.6.8. If an ability triggers during or as the result of a non-attack action, resolve that ability at the next available opportunity after that action is fully completed. If an ability triggers during an attack, resolve that ability at the appropriate timing point within that attack. Resolving a triggered ability never interrupts an action or ability that is currently resolving (other than the specified timing points during an attack). See 6.3. Attack With a Unit So Krayt cannot deal damage until after the event has fully resolved. And if the event resolving deals "lethal" damage to the opponent's base, the opponent immediately loses. 1.9.7. If a base has damage on it equal to or greater than its HP value, its owner immediately loses the game, and their opponent wins the game. The Krayt Dragon's trigger thus never actually resolves - the game ends before the trigger has an opportunity to resolve. The rules would have to dictate that you "resolve all pending abilities before checking the game state" or something to allow Krayt Dragon to resolve as well, but that is not the case!

I love swu and am intrigued by Hunter so naturally I came across this video I gave up after 16:00. Here's my feedback: You spent a ton of time describing how aspect penalties work in swu. Anyone clicking on a "how to play Hunter" video likely knows that already. You didn't need any of that discussion . Cut out all the time you used to describe each aspect and what they do. Anyone clicking on this already knows that For that matter titling the video "how to play Hunter" implies that you know how to do it. Meaning most people will come here to see how you have had success. The easiest way to convey that is with deck lists. If you don't offer deck lists... What's the point I probably sound like a jerk, but I hope this feedback can help
@ScrubGamesDBS17 күн бұрын

The title & focus of the video is 'Understanding How to Build Hunter' which is a part of my series covering each Leader in a given set to help people, both brand new to the game or even those who are veterans to TCGs, understand how to build them to suit them & their playstyle. While I respect that you may not need the information about things like the Aspect Penalty or an explanation of the Aspects, that is not the case for everyone hence why it's included as I want to cover all bases. I don't cover lists in these videos as that is not the point of them & that is what deck profiles are for. Once again cheers for the feedback, I'll take it into consideration for future content.
