Have you figured out a good kydex holster for this weapon?
@thelanecompound97062 күн бұрын
@jondavidmcnabb yes a few. I run a dara competition drop offset holster with just minor trimming with a dremmel to fit the compensator flawlessly. The holsters I have made for a glock 17 with olight pl pro valkyrie. Then trim the bit that I need for the comp.

Thank you for doing this video and answering questions. Are you just playing around with the recoil springs or are you changing out the Stryker spring too? For some reason Wolff sends the Stryker spring as well as the recoil spring but I’m not sure if I’m supposed to change out the Stryker spring too or not. I’ve reached out to them but they haven’t answered back yet
@thelanecompound97068 күн бұрын
Honestly iv heard of them sending those springs for you striker. I would not install it. I use and recommend the factory striker spring. You will most likely have more light primer strikes if you change that out, but ultimately it's up to you. Trying their spring can't hurt. You can always change it back out if I'm right. No harm in Trying though.

Glad to see your comp is running well on your 40. Today i tested my g23 gen4 with the mass driver and a timney alpha competition trigger, and well i was pretty disappointed to find the springs were pretty destroyed after about 100 rounds. Im curious if you could give me some advice on springs? I should also mention that its an oem slide. I assumed the springs are under rated for 40 since its designed for 9mm.
@thelanecompound970610 күн бұрын
@dfendurselfjones226 yes the 15lb spring is designed for the 9mm. That would explain it being beat. I run a 19lb spring in the 40s&w. I expiramented with all different weight springs. 19lb for 40s&w is the perfect tuning for lock up and ejection pattern.
@thelanecompound970610 күн бұрын
@dfendurselfjones226 also keep in mind that my slides are aftermarket and tend to be much lighter than oem slides. And mine is a glock 22 gen 3 gen 4 hybrid. Gen 4 frame, gen 3 slides with strike industries mass driver adapter plate.
@dfendurselfjones2264 күн бұрын
@thelanecompound9706 appreciate the advice man, I'll give a 19lb spring a try! I may see if I can find a slightly stronger spring in the comp as well I will update you.
@jadaugherty8112 күн бұрын
Ok so did you ever find the perfect spring weight for your G22? I started with an 18lb and had malfunctions with range ammo. I ordered a 14lb, 15lb, 20lb and 22lb to try but I was finding that my slide wasn’t seating back into battery after every shot. The speer gold dots worked fine but PMC FMJ had the issues.
@thelanecompound970612 күн бұрын
@jadaugherty81 I did find flawless running for both calibers. 15lb spring for 9mm and 19lb spring for 40s&w. Mine locks up perfectly, but there are a few things to consider. Both of my slides are lighter than a factory slide, my parts are probably different than yours, and my glock is actually a hybrid. I use gen 4 frame, and gen 3 slides with strike industries adapter to mate the gen 3 slides to the gen 4 frame. I actually use an adapter plate that is for the mass driver comp in this format so yeah our builds are more different than it would seem at first glance.
@thelanecompound970612 күн бұрын
@jadaugherty81 I have 0 issues with mine. It is just as reliable as a factory glock. Plus I reload my own ammo so that is also a way to tune your firearm. I load some semi hot loads to run through it and that helps with cycling and ejection pattern is crucial to tunning.
@jadaugherty8112 күн бұрын
@@thelanecompound9706 so would you recommend going a lighter spring with mine? Mine isn’t completely stock either. I have a Norsso slide on mine with window cuts so mine is probably lighter as well. I want to try and make it work with the range ammo that I have which is 165 grain. Also is your spring compressed more than half of what it was when you bought it now when you take it out of the gun?
@thelanecompound970612 күн бұрын
@jadaugherty81 no, my 19 lb spring has maintained its shape and size, and I've put about 600 rounds through it with no problem s. Sounds like you need a new spring.

@thelanecompound9706 Ok so I tried this comp on my G23 and I had bought a Wolff 18lb spring (which is factory spring weight for the G23). It shot ok for a little bit but then the spring got so compressed that it lost strength enough to pull the slide back into battery. Do I need to go heavier?
@thelanecompound970619 күн бұрын
@jadaugherty81 you should not have to go heavier but I run 19lb in my glock 22. Your case might call for a 20lb spring. That's my best guess. The spring should not be losing strength. That's weird 😕
