Udemy quality reviewer told me that my voice recorded with Q2U sounds muffled as if under water. In the OBS equalizer settings, I have the lows at -2db and both the middle and the highs at 2db. Would you please have a suggestion on how to fix the problem that the reviewer raised?

Wait are you saying the hissing on the samson is because of the interface and not the mic? It's pretty noticeable
@shotgunstudio575825 күн бұрын
Yes, I could only hear the hissing in the headphones during the live monitoring and not much in the actual final recording. The original preamps on the RCP weren’t the best.
@HereAfterNow25 күн бұрын
@@shotgunstudio5758 but is the final recording the one you used on this video? Because I can hear it pretty clearly
@shotgunstudio575825 күн бұрын
It may have been the interface. I just listened to another video where I use the Q2U in a comparison and there is no noise but I am using the RCP 2.

Thanks! I would say the rode podmic at the $100 range with the proper EQ. I also really like the Lewitt LCT 240 Pro in the $200 range or the Shure MV7X.

Timely review for me! I ordered both of these and was looking to see what the thoughts on them are and there are few reviews of the tank right now. Had no idea the Tank was an updated version of the K688. Well laid out and useful comparison. Realistic, real life testing with direct voice comparisons. No time wasted chatting about irrelevant things. Great job! Decision made! Tank it is. I was noticing the video quality and thought, 'What camera is he using?'......Lol, $3K Sony DSLR. No wonder the picture is so good! Oh, well. Back to my $300 Dell, haha.

Good intro video. I'm curious about post production work on voiceover audio inside FCP (i.e. bass boost, eq adjustments, removing breath and mouth sounds, etc.).
@shotgunstudio57582 ай бұрын
FCP is pretty limited on the audio editing. It can do voice isolation but I either edit that in Garage band or something or manually edit out the breath and mouth sounds in FCP.

Just my humble opinion, but I think your studio look from your day work desk looks very good. The lighting contrast from left to right (on the screen) is a great transition (yellow to blue/purple). Lighting on your face is also very good.

Nice review. I have both of these mics coming in a day or two hopefully. Itching to try them as I've seen and listened to many KZfaq videos and other online reviews. I will be using these on an SDR ham radio for a try out. Will be very interesting to hear the results and feedback from other radio users.
@justlou717Ай бұрын
Which did you go with?
@ScatManAustАй бұрын
@@justlou717 Mate , they were both great and not much difference between them really. I went for the Amplitank on the SDR radio simply because it was easier to hold. I hold the mic as I move around a large bench top and found it too awkward to have to keep maneuvering in the chair and around the desk to use the mic on a boom. So, I simply have a rope around my neck and hang the mic on it. It's always there when I need it and can just pick it up or just talk down my chest. Brilliant mic and great value.
