Wonderful…! May I ask if the exhaust is stock or an upgrade ? And a real beauty without sidelights and Usa bumpers….

Very interesting, the handling of this wonderfull but also sensitive motor. Fifty years ago I had an italian sporty car - his name was also beginning with "F", the rest of the name was a little bit otherwise 😂. But to start and to drive untill the high-revving-engine had the correct temperature, was nearly the same procedure. Who would not consider this like a friend of me, this motor broke down after 20.000 miles. My engine was else good after 80.000 miles. If I could pay a Ferrari in my old days, I would buy such a 365 or 400 or 412. This cars are very fast, have good comfort and look very, very good.

I’ll Never understand (or accept) the Borranis on a Daytona!? On the 365GT4 2+2, or what was built and intended to be the closest to a family sedan? Sure.but on the Daytonas, it’s the 5-spoke Cromadoras w/center wheel hub only. so sexy! or it should’ve been anyway.😊

The Daytona is a little to heavy for the Borrani wheels, it was the last car to have them.

I have too a 1978 Dino 308 Gt4,chassis 40355. Mine is metallic silver with identical leather interiors. I own this car from 1997 and is a wonderful and reliable Ferrari, fantastic to drive and, with her longer wheel base, easyer than the 308 Gtb and Gts. If well mantained is a car that brings you everywhere with her involving sound. As all the Ferraris this is a car to drive, feeling her clutch, her gearbox, her steering that,at low speed and in the city are heavy, but as you reach open roads she becomes sharp and light as a butterfly, with a perfect balance due to her mid transverse engine. I think that negative statings about this car generally come from people who has never put their ass on her.

Look at the dimensions. The Avanti is the original "pony car" years before Ford's Mustang saw the light of day... but the Mustang was in production for years before they shoe-horned a 240 hp engine into it. It started out with a 200 cid SIX or a 221 cid V-8! And the 240hp, 289cid Studebaker V-8 was the BASE engine. Adding superchargers (R1 or R2) pushed the output up to 275 & 300 hp. It is a shame Studebaker didn't survive. Imagine how much improved the Big Three's offerings might have been if they had to compete with the things Studebaker came up with out of sheer desperation to survive: Their GT Hawk was way better-looking than a Thunderbird, the Avanti had front disc brakes STANDARD before anyone else (giving it phenomenal stopping power for it's time) and the Lark could eat Chevy Novas or Plymouth Valiants for breakfast, lunch, & dinner day in & day out. If I had the money, I'd have one of each - and they'd be the only cars I'd own.

wow, I didn't realize at first that it was not a cab but a targa. way way way more rare. not my preference but freaking awesome still!! do you still have that breathed on 965? my apologies I don't want to look the baffoon but it was a champagne or very light met. gold with some very tasteful modifications that also turned it into a serious weapons grade sportscar. we all know even the rarest Porsche 911 turbos are not supercars nor exotics. people don't know that price doesn't determine whether its a supercar. its 100% better than super at everything but its a sportscar a very high-end one of the highest. it drives me nuts when people say its a supercar. I know it better than 99% of anything they could be driving unless they are real class acts and drive a RUF. I just saw the flacbau and of course clicked then I saw it was you guys whom I'm very familiar with and I thought of they outstanding 965 ohhhhh . is it a steel nose an o.e. N505? that's right I also remember that c126 widebody in gray with the Recaro cse's and the best option they did for stereo- the Nakamichi upgraded system. that was another just far beyond a normal exotic-esqe luxury coupe. great car. I'd love to see an update on that 3.3l 965 if you still have it. I believe it wasn't on your floorplan it was a personal car of someone here owner I'd imagine. what a cool rally. great set of cars. cheers
