wondering how can i install the Trumpet that vam with my order as a gift ?

Hi Hammad, the T9464 VTA does NOT have the option to install an optional trumpet. Our trumpets are exclusively compatible with our Mach 2/Hybrid/Respons/Deceptor Pro II valves only and NOT for our DV+’s or VTA’s. Thanks. I’m not sure why you would have been sent a trumpet as a gift with your purchase, I’d recommend asking whoever you purchased from.

Just installed mine but have issues with turbo flutter. Followed exact steps and immediately it fluttered. For a completely stock set up is it recommended to run both springs on the dv+?

Hi Brandon, could you please email us at [email protected] and let us know when this fluttering is occurring? Is it occurring at high RPM’s or low RPM’s. I really need help! I have my gfb and Mac valve but it didn’t come with connectors for them just 2 wires on each side. Can I just put the wires together and be fine? Not sure if it matters what wires go to what wires too. Both sides is just 2 black wires.

Hi Allen, yes. With the T9358 DV+ you will be able to uninstall the DV+ from your OE diverter valve and solenoid and reassemble your OE diverter valve if needed.

Hi, the issue on most of the vehicles the T9352 is intended for is clearance, as the VTA is quite a bit taller than the DV+ version. A little secret, the VTA we sell for the Mercedes (T9458) will fit the same turbo and diverter valve as the T9352, but it probably won't have enough room around it to fit. If you can let me know what vehicle you've got, I can advise if you've got a chance of fitting one on there. Best to contact us through our support channel via the website, as we may need you to send some photos of your factory diverter valve.

@@cjerp The location of the diverter valve on the 508 is actually different to the Mini, which in your case works in your favour. We have had a customer fit a T9458 to a 508, however the top of the solenoid does press against the plastic turbo intake pipe, which is why we don't list it as an official fitment. Hi Robert, the DV+ that is used in this video is when we were using that older T9351 DV+ style packaging many years ago. We've since made changes to our packaging whereas the counterfeit DV+'s will still use this old-style packaging. Hi, our DV+ works by replacing the plastic valve parts of your OE diverter valve with an anodized billet aluminum housing and brass piston that ensures strength and reliability no matter how much boost you run. Our pilot-actuation system allows the valve to progressively open in response to boost pressure. By retaining the factory solenoid as well, the DV+ is able to open and clos reliably without ever exceeding the solenoids capability.

Hi Florian, unfortunately our G Force 3 will NOT be compatible with a vacuum actuated internal wastegate. Our G Force 3 is designed to be compatible with traditional pneumatically actuated wastegate actuator that uses pressure. The issue with this is that the pressure in a pressure actuated wastegate is part of what makes the whole system closed loop. The pressure that’s going to the solenoid is the pressure that you’re controlling. With a vacuum actuated one, the vacuum is a fixed pressure from the vacuum pump.

Hi, our DV+ will be full silent alike your OE diverter valve and will recirculate all air back into the intake. If in the case you were interested in a VTA, please contact us at [email protected]. Regarding the potential for any CEL codes, when installed correctly - our valves shouldn't cause a CEL light to be triggered, however, please contact us if in the case it is and we'll be more than happy to help by going through some troubleshooting steps! Watched all the video tutorials really helpful thank you, one issue I’ve come across recently is that if I launch/brake boost the car in first gear it hits the overboost setting which is a lot higher than desired target, but then is fine in every other gear etc it’s even fine in first gear if I roll into i. Any help would be greatly appreciated thank you

Yeah that is correct! That's the original style box that the DV+ came with back in 2014 when we made this video. Since then we've swapped to a different style of box, but the counterfeit part manufacturers haven't copied the new box (yet).

its ok nothing to worry about. if u get flutter while accelerating its bad for turbo. but just a little when u release pedal does nothing bad its just air coming in opposite direction hitting the turbo blades

Flutter puts wear on your turbo, you don’t want flutter unless you want to buy a new turbo prematurely Edit: it sounds great though :)

Hi, for that video we have removed the trumpet just to make it easier to see the piston when adjusting spring pre-load. it’s worth noting that with the standard trumpet installed - it will only make a “whooshing” sound when coming off throttle. You will only get a whistling effect with the optional “whistling” trumpet. Thanks

If anyone can help i brought a 2000 wrx bugeye and it came with gfb blow off but the idle sits at 500 low and seems to be ok doesn't go lower or higher and doesn't cut out seems to like it there ive tryed everything to get the idle up new spark plugs cleaned throttle body cant see any vac leaks and cleaned mass sensor did a re set and just goes back to 500 even tryed to adjust the idle screw that worked for a day then went back to 500 again. Could it be the blow off its duel port but full atmosphere and not adjustable?

Great question! Our pilot-actuated operating system alters the operation of the DV+ so that the solenoid only has to control airflow through a small passage that is then used to open and close the piston (rather than opening and closing the piston directly). This feature also improves on the factory system by opening the valve progressively in response to boost pressure, so that it opens as much as required to get the job done - resulting in better throttle response. I just installed this exact one on my Mark 8 GTI M/T today. I haven’t driven the car yet cuz I washed it right after the install. But tomorrow we’ll see how she does. I did not apply oil to the piston should I remove it and apply oil or should I be fine?? Thanks!

Hi Juan, thank you for contacting us! Applying oil to the main piston is NOT critical to the operation of the valve. Oiling the piston helps aid with the bedding process between the piston and body. There should also be a sufficient amount of engine blow by to help keep this piston lubricated. Thanks

Hi, thank you for contacting us! As per our instructions, we only recommend applying a light coating of engine oil to the piston to help aid with the installation process. This shouldn’t need to be reapplied as a constant form of maintenance as there should be a sufficient amount of engine blow by to help keep the piston lubricated. The piston will still be able to run dry without problems. Oiling is recommended as it can help with the bedding in process.
