Man cannot prepared him for something that's in writing it does not make sense.The bible is the word of God,it's God's problem not ours God put us here and we don't have a clue,all we know is the bible,and our believe in it.Its almost 2000 years ago that these things happen according to the scriptures there,s no fiscal evedance that what happened in the bible is true,we have only our believe and believe has no proof.We are really trapped in what we believe and it's accompanied by fear.

The thing I think of, Jesus stated there’ll be few that will find the way! Which churches seem to teach everyone who “believes” in Christ will be saved as in acknowledging Christ! But as Fr. Samuel from Wisconsin stated correctly understood it’ll be those that live in Christ! Which if someone really believes in Christ, they would live in him, obeying him! Then consider in book of James, it says you believe in one G-d, you do good, even the devils believe and tremble! Which the devils believe, but where are they destined for? Which so many are literalists looking at do’s and do nots’, but Jesus pointed out the renewing of the mind, where attitudes would be changed, people wouldn’t be so judgemental with a G-d complex, then regarding others of faith as themselves, they’d start practicing such! You like air conditioning, so would everyone else that’s in the Deep South when it’s hot and humid! You like meat, so would many that only have canned goods as veggies! Which there are some that change their minds and hearts where if they can, they’ll help make life more bearable for others without! 😮😮😮😮, Oh I messed up now!!! All those with conservative Republicans views as Doctrine and Jesus as the front!😮😮😮😮😮😮😮, Go ahead and hate me you 😈 👿 devils! You hated my brother Jesus first, where it was you political religious types that killed him too!😂😂😂😂 You have such high standards, you elevated the standard of being poor to being destitute, shame, shame, shame on you! 25 minutes the priest is telling you you’re eternal destiny! If you do not recondition your heart to consider others especially those of faith, to being more compassionate, kind and charitable! Rememember the Rich man and Lazareth??? I never heard a preacher to this day point this out, but the angel never made the rich man sound immoral, evil or wicked in action, but inaction, where he lived life to the fullest, enjoying hisself! Never says anything about being wicked, or such though he could have been. But he points out, Lazareth didn’t have any of these things, where the rich man didn’t do anything to alieve or relieve any of his afflictions or hardships! Ooooo, some pastors are going to hate me for rightly dividing the truth! In contrast to oh we are are all going to heaven, come on folks jump on the ride and we will have fun getting there! No, neglecting heart for others is a sin too and turning a blind eye so you do not see doesn’t make you innocent, where turning a blind eye is an admission of guilt! Where you condemn your own selves! For every like you see, that’s an estimated 10,000 others who simply did not click the up button! Where replace your political doctrine with the doctrine of Christ will be a good start!

Freedom to Cyprus. Cyprus is not divided but invaded by Turkey. Turkey has committed genocide against the local Christian Cypriots so that they can create a muslim Turkish state In the north of Cyprus. The Turks have stolen Christian Cypriots homes and villages and changed their names and addresses. They have stolen our Christian churches to make them mosques and they took Greek ancient archaeological sites to make money from them. The Greeks came in this island 3500 years ago to build villages and towns and not to conquer and built Lapithos and Kyrenia. The Ottomans came to Cyprus 550 years ago as conquerors to kill and take over. The army of Turkey in 1974 killed thousands of Greek Cypriots to make them leave their homes and villages in the North of Cyprus and therefore committed genocide and ethnic cleansing of the Kyrenian Greek Cypriot Christian population. I come from Lapithos and as a Greek Cypriot i am not allowed by the illegal TRNC authorities to live in Lapithos. The same for all the Greek Cypriots. Even if our houses are there they don't allow us to live in our houses and villages unless we recognize the illegal Turkish authorities and accept the army of Turkey in our lands.

Quite interesting - I am a new convert to Orthodoxy. A catechumen. I grew up Mormon, and although Orthodox would consider Mormons dispensationalists they do not consider themselves Evangelical nor do the Evangelicals. (Mormons do not consider themselves protestant.) The dispensations in LDS belief are similar but quite different as well - names are different, timeframes are different. For instance , this is not the "dispensation of grace" at the moment but the "dispensation of the fulness of times" to them. A lot of the end times beliefs are different. While what is presented is superficially accurate - no need for a deep dive of course - Mormons would consider the conclusion of an earthly church/people and a heavenly one incorrect. In Mormonism, there is only one - what you might call the family of Adam. That the "church" in the afterlife and the "church" on earth are the same thing. Same people. And on earth, unlike Protestant evangelicals drawing distinctions between Israel and the Church, they would believe that Israel and the Church are one and the same. n Like is observed - similar in some aspects but quite different in others. While I am familiar with evangelical belief it is interesting to see it and compare it to what I grew up in vs Orthodox theology,

I am someone who came to faith growing up in the Methodist Church and surrendering my life to Christ in 1973 and shortly thereafter, and even to today, am a member of an evangelical Bible Church. Up until two months ago I was dispensational with a pre-millennial, post-trib belief. If I may I would like to point out where the Dispensationalist went wrong. It begins with their incorrect understanding of Daniel 9:24-27. Dispensationalist, as well as myself until two months ago, believe the Daniel 9:24-25 passage references Jesus the Messiah. However in Daniel 9:26-27 where is begins to reference the prince who is to come, and he shall make a strong covenant with many for one week, Dispensationalist believe this is referring to the Antichrist. This is why Dispensationalist place a 7 year gap, the 70th week, after the 69th week and they believe this one week/7 year period is yet to come. Dispensationalist believe a 3rd Temple must be built for the Antichrist to commit the Abomination that causes desolation. What I just discovered in the last two months is the Daniel 9:24-27 passage is making reference solely about Jesus. Jesus is the prince who is to come and Jesus is the one who makes the strong covenant during the last week and which He is cut off during the middle of the week. The beginning of the 70th week is the baptism of Jesus. During the middle of the last week Jesus is cut off, crucified, and it is His crucifixion that puts an end to all sacrifices and offerings. THIS IS ABSOLUTELY KEY: Read Daniel 9:24 and then read Leviticus 16 and zero in on Leviticus 16:21 and go back and read Daniel 9:24 and the you will then understand how the dots are connected. Daniel 9:24 says Daniel's people, the Jews, will finish the transgression, put an end to sin and make atonement for iniquity. This is what Jesus accomplished upon the cross. In Leviticus 16:21 the High Priest places both hands upon the scapegoat and transfers all the TRANSGRESSIONS, SINS and INIQUITIES of the people of Israel to the goat. Jesus finished and put an end to all the transgressions, sins and iniquities with His spilt blood upon the cross. About the Abomination in Daniel 9:27, which Jesus talks about in Matthew 24 and Luke 21, it occurred during the last 3 1/2 years following the crucifixion when Caiaphas, after the veil was repaired and the Holy of Holies restored following the earthquake, went into the Holy of Holies and offered up sacrifice for the sins of the people of Israel. This is the Abomination when Caiaphas offered up sacrifice in the Holy of Holies AFTER God had already provided the unblemished Lamb, once and for all. This Abomination led to the later desolation in AD 70. God provide time for the Church to get started and established before he brought in the Roman army to destroy both the city of Jerusalem and the Temple. God did not want anymore scarifies on the Day of Atonement, so He brought in the Roman army to destroy the Temple and left it desolate. Many get confused as they try and place the timing of the Abomination AND the Desolation at the same time. Some translations Jesus said to look for the abomination that causes desolation. This does not mean they happen at the same time. As mentioned earlier God gave the Church time to get established, then He had the Temple destroyed. God will not allow the Jews to rebuild a 3rd Temple before the Lord returns as it is an abomination to offer up sacrifices in the Holy of Holies after God has already provide the most perfect sacrifice for all time. My own personal beliefs about the things to come is to look for Israel to get complete control of Jerusalem and the Temple Mount. When this happens then the time of the Gentiles will be fulfilled as mention in Luke 21. The Jews will most likely attempt to rebuilt a 3rd Temple, but their attempt to rebuilt the Temple will unite the Muslim people to annihilate the Jews, which will bring the return of Christ. Another side note, the Man of Lawlessness mentioned in 2 Thessalonians 2 is a different person than the Antichrist mentioned in Revelation 19. They both have different functions, and they are taken out differently. This too confuses many people as they think the Man of Lawlessness and the Antichrist are one and the same, they are not the same. The Antichrist leads a multi-nation army against Israel and the Antichrist opposes God and His dwelling. The Man of Lawlessness displays himself as being God as he takes his seat in the Temple. The Temple, in my opinion, is most likely in Rome, yes the Vatican. The Man of Lawlessness is most likely the leader of Apostasy. The Antichrist is thrown alive into the lake of fire upon Christ's return. The Man of Lawlessness if taken out by the breath of Jesus. The Man of Lawlessness will be invalidated upon Christ's return. I encourage those reading this to read 2 Thessalonians 2 and Revelation 19:19-21 and look up the Greek words for KILL, SLAIN, BREATH, SWORD. You will discover the Man of Lawlessness and the Antichrist are two different people. Fr. John Brown thank you for posting this video.

Not that many seem to be aware of this, but during the "reformation", the reformers sent emissaries to the Greek Orthodox with the intention of forming a religious-political alliance against the Pope. After years of interchange and hundreds of pages of written interaction, the Greek Orthodox rightly concluded that the "reformers" had discarded essential elements of the Christian faith; such that the reformer's communities could not rightly be called Churches. All praise to the Greek Orthodox leaders who rightly and properly discerned the spirits and content of the "reform"!

Father Brown. Respectfully, everything that Evangelicals believe, which you described very well, is based on revelations and its illusionary connections to the Old Testament as well as the teachings of Jesus in the gospels, ie: Mathew 24 … essentially what I’ve understood is that Orthodoxy simply doesn’t teach on the book of revelation, despite the fact it took place I. Greece on the Isl of Patmos. Everything we believe is scriptural. It’s not a belief, it’s literally written in revelation … again, Mormons, Scientology and the like are a complete departure from scruples, Orthodoxy clearly glosses over scripture and focuses on select scriptures, but evangelicals are interested in the entire Bible, no scripture is left out, from old to new to end times… all of the storyline you described was not a belief that was pulled out of the air, the one world government, one world religion, the rise of the Antichrist the 70th week of Daniel the tribulations and the Millennial kingdom are all the scriptures narrative … it’s not make believe .. orthodox clergy simple ignore it, don’t teach on it and gloss over it… there are saving faith doctrines that the Greeks are not being taught, I know I’m married to one, and he is the perfect example of a believer by culture, not by faith or by relationship with Jesus… which is saving faith. He has no idea what’s coming and he is ill prepared, and because he’s Greek, he things his doctrine is infallible… it’s not false, it’s incomplete.

You don’t understand the Orthodox Church. The Orthodox Church wrote, compiled, and canonized the entire New Testament and spent centuries pouring over, studying, and interpreting the scriptures. The scriptural interpretations and church traditions that were taught, believed, and practiced by the early church are the same as can be found in the Orthodox Church today. We haven’t changed. Dispensational theology is a new innovation in modern western Protestantism that is less than 250 yrs old and is a result of the breaking away from the teachings and traditions of the original church that Christ established. I used to be where you are now. I encourage you to do some research and reading of the early church fathers and discover what was originally and still is taught in the Orthodox Church regarding end times. God bless

@AdriennesHaus 2 ай бұрын
I’m curious if the Orthodox has a different book of revelation… because everything you’ve described as “dispensational” is described in revelation very clearly …there is a millennial reign, he has saints in heaven, and a remnant of Israel, all of these things are described. So where is the scripture that reflects what the orthodoxy believes?
@AdriennesHaus
@AdriennesHaus 2 ай бұрын
Orthodox and Protestant evangelical are both biblical and believe the Bible, although vary in focus… Mormonism, Christian Science and the like are false religion and believe that Joseph Smith is a prophet like Mohammed… please don’t compare Mormonism, Christian Science with evangelical Christianity, they believe in another Bible, not the blood atonement of Jesus and a different Jesus, it’s as biblical as Islam - so, an entirely false doctrine…

Father John, I am a Greek Orthodox Christian, and I just want to thank you for what you are doing through your videos. I have inherited our priceless faith, and knew very little about it. Despite attending a Greek school, that included religion class being taught by a priest. We were not taught of why we do the things that we do, or the rich history behind it. I am now learning through your videos and from other Orthodox channels, and I want to thank you for the time, and for the dedication that you have given into making each of these precious videos. They mean a lot to me, and I am sure that this stands true for many others. May Christ Jesus always bless you and your family ❤

_Who do you say that I am_ The true identity of Jesus Christ is that he was Jacob whom God renamed Israel, after his death he became a Celestial child and spent a thousand years in Paradise after which he was resurrected and Ascended to a higher reality of God, it was here that God the Son outlined the vision of His suffering and death in the new incarnation with Jacob-Israel as illustrated throughout the testimony of Isaiah, notably Isaiah chapters 46-55. Especially 49:3 *You are my servant Israel in whom I shall be Glorified* The name of his new incarnation was to be Jesus. God the Son is the direct Father of all who become celestial children and Simeon described the way the soul becomes impregnated by him in regard to the Virgin Mary (and a sword will pierce your own soul) this happens sometimes at judgement when a person who is alive at the time of his judgement as he can see the celestial child leave his deceased body after his death. This has happened to Mary and it has happened to me. I was reading Wisdom literature and the word Truth came off of the page and transformed into a Glittering great two edged sword, which spoke to me throughout my judgement. Since we must understand that Jesus came into the world already as a Son of Man, that is he had already Ascended into heaven as Jacob -Israel He was a celestial and supernatural angel in doing so when he returned as Jesus. John the Baptist was also a person who was already a supernatural and celestial entity when he returned as Jesus Christ's herald, Jesus knew that John the Baptist was formerly Elijah and John the Baptist knew that Jesus was Israel and he identified him and his role as Lamb of God and as Israel redivivus when he spoke of his unworthiness to "untie the latchet of his sandals". Throughout the ministry of Jesus, God the Son and Jesus Christ were one, many statements were made by God the Son through Jesus, the I Am statements and the role that God the Son would play in Judgement, all judgement would be given to the Son and also the fact that everyone must face the Son (as the Word of God) before they could come to the Father and in seeing the Father they see him in Jesus Christ. Hence the true saying of St Thomas "My Lord and My God". Judgement is a very traumatic experience as you cannot pray and you do not have a friendly face to appeal to. It is right that Jesus Christ does not judge and when you see him in the Beatific Vision you see him as a very affable man.

To say that the morman cult is close to dispensationalism because they believe in a 1000 reign of Christ is a little disingenuous considering that St John describes in detail a 1000 reign of Christ. In other words the comparison to cults does not carry weight to someone who has studied the scriptures. The question is what did the Fathers say about St John's 1000 year reign teachings.

The bread and wine can be literal and still be representative of his flesh and blood. It's not an either/or issue as you seem to infer. Just think it through - God incarnate was on the earth for less than 34 years and THEN was resurrected off of the earth after 40 more days. The very idea of a resurrected body implies that the living flesh and blood are still with the resurrected body. ALL religions are built around part truth and part deception (often unknowingly) to get people thinking that adhering to the religion is equivalent to adhering to the "way, the truth, and the life", the titles of which Jesus claimed for himself and only for himself. Perhaps following any religion is actually blasphemy. Hmmm...

7:33 Christ (that is God the Son has been coming for thousands of years) Jesus Christ taught that neither he nor God the Father could judge as all judgement is given to God the Son, in turn God the Son speaking in Jesus says *No-one can come to the Father but by me* this means judgement has to happen first, but after some time Jesus does appear and God the Father is visible in Jesus Christ this is the Beatific Vision which can be had in this life. The process from dying and becoming a celestial child and being judged is traumatic and is the real *end of the world* the trauma does not finish until you see Jesus and hear his testimony.

6:20 both Dispensationalist and Orthodox are wrong. Luke 20:34-38 teaches that every person has several opportunities to be reborn but a time comes when *they can no longer die anymore* at that time the soul leaves the Body as a celestial child an angel and is then judged not by Jesus Christ but by The Son that is God the Son, this judgement is a non-trinitarian event, successful judgement leads to Paradise for a thousand years then Resurrection and Ascension, in Paradise Resurrections are visible events and it is possible to dialogue with the angel's before their Resurrection and Ascension.
