I am Student Nurse & I bought the same stethoscope from Amazon Prime for my Nursing classes for a very good discount ($89). I don’t know if it’s a fake or real one though. I tried it on my family for practice so I don’t look like an idiot in my first class …. But what I heard with my family was a muffled sound I could not hear it clearly. So I used a stethoscope from college campus, just like everyone else in my class so I didn’t feel too embarrassed about using the college campus equipment…. or so I thought. I put the college equipment to my ears & tested it out on the classmates who was paired up as my AP2 lab partners & wow I heard their heart beats super loud & crystal clear. So does that mean mine is a fake or is it not full assembled yet????😢 Please send me advice if possible.

Hi, sometimes it can be difficult to know exactly what you’re listening for or even find a sound so keep trying! Also there are some stethoscopes that pick up sounds better than others! I would say that the stethoscope I use I hear things clearly. Maybe try using your stethoscope on your classmate. If it’s muffled try popping out the covers of the bell and diaphragm I heard that helps!
