Very useful, thank you. I collected a bunch of seeds from a Corncockle I discovered in the garden last year. Going to give it go!

You say you are going to leave them (larkspur) in a cupboard IN THE HOUSE because the shed is warmer. Is your shed heated? Inside my house is warmer than my garage/shed. Please clarify for me. Thanks. Did you mean freezer or refrigerator. I get different info from different sites. Do you always put your larkspur seeds in the freezer?

i started out with 4 snapdragon plants, harvested the seeds as they grew and threw them back into the pot with the plants I ended up with a huge mass of snaps, they were so beautiful. I didnt even plant the seeds just threw them in the pot with the plants. Now I have plenty for fall

Do you use any grow lights when you keep them indoor or do you only use windowsills?

Which plant zone do you live in? I’m in zone 6b. What’s the temperature in your cupboard? How about watering AFTER putting them in the cardboard box?

What do we do with them once they are germinated do we pot on into bigger pots as usual do we keep them in the greenhouse all winter thankyou

Pop them into 9cm pots once they have their first set of true leaves. If they are a reasonable size (fist size) around 6 weeks before your first frost they can go outside into your patch, or you can overwinter in the greenhouse or cold frame etc.

Just found your channel and I’ve subscribed as I’m so glad to find another gardener in the UK. Can you tell me once you’ve sown your seeds and they’ve germinated inside do you then put them in the greenhouse with the lid still on or do you take it off during the day and put it back at night? Also, do you water or spray daily to keep the seedlings moist. Thanks

I take the lids off as they need light at this stage. I water with a watering can with a delicate rose.

Also love that you brake it down to which seeds require stratification and that you sort them out by weeks and month.

I just found you and I'm so happy about it! You go at my pace and you explain everything so clearly. This will be my first time sowing cool flowers in the autumn. I've been a flower gardener for about thirty years but I have never planted plants in the autumn to over winter, and to bloom in the Spring. Thank you!
