Well done on fixing it, it's one of the things going wrong I fear at that cost, great that you've got the skills to do it yourself, I couldn't. Also, rather strange seeing a road very close to where I work on YT.

We was in the same place a few weeks ago and woke up to a fantastic airshow.. the local plane apotters are trying to stop campervans parking there as they say its damaging the new car park.. 😂😂 what a joke as im guessing the buttie van that was there on the day weighed more than a campervan.. 👍🏼
@Alivefrom4512 күн бұрын
Hi Yorkshirefinestpair, thank you for watching and commenting. We were hoping to use the food van for breakfast but it never turned up. It would be a shame if they stop campers, it does not help that there was a person in a van who stayed there for 3 months and refused to move at that time they were going to shut the place all together.

Hi BSmith, thank you for watching and leaving a comment, sorry about that. We have added our shovel and a number of different molle bags. Currently still playing about with the layout and items stored on the racks, as it give you so many options, you end up going oh that could be very useful, I'll put that on the door. We are currently planning a van tour video, in which there will be an update on these racks. What I would say having used them for a number of weeks now, they are super useful and well worth adding to the van.

At 0:28 you say open the fan itself, but for me all these opens (manual, remote or buttons) won't open the fan. So I can't get under it to unscrew it. Do you have any advice perhaps?
@Alivefrom453 ай бұрын
Hi Dn140890, thank you for watching and posting your question. The challenge you are going to have is, if the gearbox is is broken then the teeth could be jammed, hence it will not open. It is unlikely that you are going to be able to remove the screws to open the top while it is in the closed position. Your safest option might be to remove the whole fan from the base or at least remove the screw to enable you to gain access to the screw in the top. One good thing about the Maxxair fans is that removing the fan does not break with weatherproof seal you make when you install them. Hope this helps, please let us know how you get on.
@Dn1408903 ай бұрын
It took us a week but we managed to fix it. Both the lift motor and the circuit board were broken and had to be replaced. First I had to disconnect the two arms from the inside of the fan (you do that around 1:03 in the video but from the outside) and then I could get all parts apart. Thanks for your help!
@Alivefrom453 ай бұрын
Hi Dn140890, glad I was able to help. I suspect the board burnt out due to the motor being jammed by the gearbox. if you have any question around any of our other video, please feel free to comment and ask.
