Waterproofing the interior side of the foundation just moves the problem, it doesn't solve it.

Basement waterproofing for example cavity drain membrane doesn’t remove the water no one can do that it manages the water into a recessed channel to a chamber which pumps water out of the basement and a dry living space is built around the CDM installation …

Helps prevent humidity causing mold growth , climate control when a dehumidifier is installed which generally always is 50-60 % of the air you breath in your home is from your crawlspace so clean crawl space clean air . Plus as a crawl tech RN who just did insul barrier and vapor barrier I can 110% tell you that air is gonna be so damn fresh you gonna catch a oxygen buzz those first couple mins of fresh air . Full encapsulation will also increase home value and it'll keep your crawlspace /home from flooding , rotting etc it's truly a wonderful thing we just did a full encapsulation 2800 square feet for 22 k which where I'm at is cheap for the beautiful job we do

Licensed engineer here. Hot rolled, shop primer'd, steel W4x13's are perfectly acceptable. Pushing a galvanized product is nothing more than an up-sell. Which is the number one thing you have to worry about with a significant percentage of basement contractors: up-sell, up-sell, up-sell, up-sell. A 9 foot length of W4x13 costs $120 if you pick it up local. Two bags of ready-mix is $15 tops. Each beam location should have a material cost of less than $175, all inclusive. Spacing and fasteners are key.

FYI- You do not want basement authority of West Virginia under your house or anywhere near your property. They are scam artists and thieves. We paid almost 28k to have work performed which only half was done, we had to insist that old wet/rotten insulation be removed- the main reason for our call- and work was delayed but they did it. Still things were not turning out like they said and when they were going to be done. You have a salesman like "used car salesman" attitude named Brandon Griffith, possibly other names, coming to your house promising you things that you think will happen but they don't. My husband and I both asked him if the 28k would include paying for the electrician and he said yes. Brandon even told the electrician that he would be paying for it and then put it the bill on us! So did Brandon abscond with the money? Why doesn't basement Authority return calls to us, the client, or the electrician who is the other client? HINKY We have contacted consumer affairs with the Attorney General's office and we are going to give them another day, if not we are going to file a claim. We also have an attorney .. just in case we have to sue them. I do not understand companies that do business like this. But I am retired, have the resources and time to take care of this business trying to scam people. I may place an ad in the newspaper to see how many others have been stolen from and scanned in order to file a class action lawsuit.

By keeping your basement dry, you create a healthier living environment and reduce the risk of respiratory problems for you and your family. 🛠️Increased Home Value: A waterproofed basement can add significant value to your home. Potential buyers are more attracted to homes with a dry and protected basement, and this investment can pay off if you ever decide to sell your property. 🐊Contact us for a free estimate and inspection on your basement or crawl space!!

Don't buy the Sedona. Absolute worst investment that I made. Purchased in February of 2018 and installed in my basement by a professional authorized dealer. Failed in September of the same year and was replaced with another unit. August the following year of 2019 it failed again and was swapped out with yet another unit. Every year thereafter they have had to send it out for repair. The error that comes on every time is "fan error or low refrigerant." Just failed again a couple of days ago. The dealer I bought it from is very friendly and quick to respond, however, this is a great inconvenience to only have these last for a year before needing repair. I've read up about this error on several forums and it seems like a lot of people have had problems with this same unit. This is inexcusable. Don't purchase this dehumidifier.
