Wait until you get to Level 80, then into Masteries, gliding, mounts, skiffs, fishing... the game opens up so much with the expansions. Then Fractals (GW2's equivalent of dungeons), Strike Missions, World Versus World... loads to do!

the initial confusion you did to yourself. all the game does when you land in Queensdale map, is point you to a scout. if you instead starting checking aaall the options and builds and worry about icons on a map.. thats on you. just go where the arrow says and what a surprise, scout will tell you about the map. people make their own problems for drama

Even 2 years after publishing this, your video is still exceptionally well done and accurate. The only thing that they have really changed is that they no longer have 'seasonal affixes'.

Golds certainly important.. But not so much for "doing more dps", more so for skins/legendary items which are convience items rather than a dps increase. Best thing about Gw2 is that its a skill based game.. While WoW raids are still amazing, Gw2 raids are far more skill based if you're not with a regular group. The simple thing of doing a rotation while having to dodge/move around constantly and do other mechanics makes it more fun than a grind of the same content.

Great explanation of the game Rage. For me as a previous WoW Paladin (never liked the Horde) i went to GW2 and thought of it as a new chapter in the Book of MMO's. How wrong i was. GW2 is not a chapter but more a new Book on how an MMO should be. I know an old review made by Angry Joe on KZfaq who shows you why.

your choices do affect the story slightly

"the role play choices don't effect the story" some of the choices do effect which story missions you get. Like your regret dictates which story you do for level 20. each race has 3 choices for each quest at level 10 20 and 30. you could play 15 different characters from 1 - 30 doing 45 different quests total and not do the same one once.

Donations. Not fees or prices. Optional donations. Any kind is appreciated: copper, silver, gold, items, random foods etc! Among my fondest memories, there is this time I portaled some low lvl players on a jumping puzzle and one mailed me 1 silver, the other 5 cake pieces and the last one did not attach anything but wrote a kind hearted message. Also, sometimes I receive random mails from players complimenting my outfit, or mailing me food because they are cooking enthusiasts. Truly special community this game has. Oh, and last but not least the questing here, I love it so much, co-op and not competitive, meant to be completed together rather than seeing other potential players as cold blooded rivals waiting to steal your precious mobs needed for x quest. It's overall very enjoyable. PS: I've spent absolutely unholy ammounts of gold, resources and time with fashion, both doing activities and collection for an outfit... it's amazing how you can choose whatever you want to do in this game and have fun with it. PS 2: Did you know there is a mount racing community? Mounts.. thats a big one for your future!
