So I just started making soap, 4 batches in. I ordered Beet powder hoping for a pink to red color... Total fail. I wish i had seen your video before I spent the money. my 2nd batch was a Tumeric soap that I love.

Hi Charmae, That's one beautiful soap. I'm new to the soap making world, and trying to pluck up the courage to dive in. I've seen a lot of videos but no one ever explains how to come up with a recipe. I mean, for example what made you decide to do half vinegar half water? Why not all vinegar? Why those particular oils and in those quantities? What if you wanted to throw another ingredient in there, such as aloe vera? Or fenugreek seeds? How would you work out the quantity and so on? It is so confusing for me. Please could you help de-mystify the world of soap? Thank you.
