I used to do this mission and see, from the time the Zerg attacked, how many Zerg structures could I destroy? That meant having a bunch of battlecruisers hold positions over my base and not look at the Zerg's plateau until the right moment. Once they saw the Zerg structures on the high ground, the siege tanks would destroy 5 or more structures in short order.

If you want to see how dumb the logic of this mission is. This is rare but sometimes the Protoss will attack your base FROM the Zerg region meaning the Protoss and Zerg in the triggers are locked in as allies. The only way a Zerg building can be destroyed is by the player.

If Kerrigan wasn't transformed into the Queen of Blades, then she wouldn't have eventually became one of the Xel'Naga. The future would have been different and Amon would have been able to destroy the whole sector etc.... kinda crazy if you think about it.

I think if they ever remastered this mission(graphics aside), you'd probably only be controlling a small squad in a small neutral outpost to take on the Protoss. You won't have the capacity to field a large army or upgrade the defenses, and any dropships you had would immediately ditch you leaving you stranded.

People are missing the point of the Terrans. They don't have unlimited ammo. But the zerg can produce almost unlimited forces thus making the tarsonis situation dangerous for Terrans.

If only Zerg had some kind of unit that could prevented range damage 🙂
