A person must be “baptized” to be saved, but it has nothing to do with water. The proof is found below. Old Covenant Baptism vs. New Covenant Baptism (water vs. Spirit) Water baptism was a part of the Old Covenant system of ritual washing. The Old Covenant priests had to wash before beginning their service in the temple. (Ex. 30:17-30) When Christ was water baptized by His cousin John in the Jordan River, He was under the Old Covenant system. He also only ate certain foods, and wore certain clothes, as prescribed by the 613 Old Covenant laws. Christ was water baptized by John and then the Holy Spirit came from heaven. (Acts 10:38) The order is reversed in the New Covenant. A person receives the Holy Spirit upon conversion, and then believers often declare their conversion to their friends and family through a water baptism ceremony. Which baptism makes you a member of Christ’s Church? The New Covenant conversion process is described below. (Being Born-again) Eph 1:12 That we should be to the praise of his glory, who first trusted in Christ. Eph 1:13 In whom ye also trusted, after that ye heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation: in whom also after that ye believed, ye were sealed with that holy Spirit of promise, (A person must “hear” the Gospel, and “believe” the Gospel, and will then be “sealed” with the Holy Spirit.) Joh 14:26 But the Comforter, which is the Holy Ghost, whom the Father will send in my name, he shall teach you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance, whatsoever I have said unto you. (See Jer. 31:34 for the New Covenant promise, and 1 John 2:27 for the fulfillment) ============ Which baptism is a part of the salvation process, based on what the Bible says? What did Peter say below? Acts 11:15 And as I began to speak, the Holy Ghost fell on them, as on us at the beginning. Acts 11:16 Then remembered I the word of the Lord, how that he said, John indeed baptized with water; but ye shall be baptized with the Holy Ghost. Based on Luke 3:16, and John 1:33, and Acts 1:5, and Acts 11:15-16, the most important thing about the word "baptize" in the New Testament has nothing to do with water. The Holy Spirit is the master teacher promised to New Covenant believers in Jeremiah 31:34, and John 14:26, and is found fulfilled in Ephesians 1:13, and 1 John 2:27. Unfortunately, many modern Christians see water/ every time they read the word "baptize" in the text. Based on the above, what is the one baptism of our faith found in the passage below? How many times is the word "Spirit" found in the passage, and how many times is the word "water" found in the passage? Eph 4:1 I therefore, the prisoner of the Lord, beseech you that ye walk worthy of the vocation wherewith ye are called, Eph 4:2 With all lowliness and meekness, with longsuffering, forbearing one another in love; Eph 4:3 Endeavouring to keep the unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace. Eph 4:4 There is one body, and one Spirit, even as ye are called in one hope of your calling; Eph 4:5 One Lord, one faith, one baptism, (See 1 Cor. 12:13) “baptize” KJV Mat_3:11 I indeed baptize you with water unto repentance: but he that cometh after me is mightier than I, whose shoes I am not worthy to bear: he shall baptize you with the Holy Ghost, and with fire: Mar_1:8 I indeed have baptized you with water: but he shall baptize you with the Holy Ghost. Mar 16:15 And he said unto them, Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature. Mar 16:16 He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved; but he that believeth not shall be damned. (Water or Holy Spirit?, See Eph. 1-13.) Luk_3:16 John answered, saying unto them all, I indeed baptize you with water; but one mightier than I cometh, the latchet of whose shoes I am not worthy to unloose: he shall baptize you with the Holy Ghost and with fire: Joh_1:26 John answered them, saying, I baptize with water: but there standeth one among you, whom ye know not; Joh_1:33 And I knew him not: but he that sent me to baptize with water, the same said unto me, Upon whom thou shalt see the Spirit descending, and remaining on him, the same is he which baptizeth with the Holy Ghost. Act 1:5 For John truly baptized with water; but ye shall be baptized with the Holy Ghost not many days hence. Act 11:15 And as I began to speak, the Holy Ghost fell on them, as on us at the beginning. Act 11:16 Then remembered I the word of the Lord, how that he said, John indeed baptized with water; but ye shall be baptized with the Holy Ghost. 1Co_1:17 For Christ sent me not to baptize, but to preach the gospel: not with wisdom of words, lest the cross of Christ should be made of none effect. 1Co 12:13 For by one Spirit are we all baptized into one body, whether we be Jews or Gentiles, whether we be bond or free; and have been all made to drink into one Spirit. (See Eph. 4:1-5) Heb 9:10 Which stood only in meats and drinks, and divers washings, and carnal ordinances, imposed on them until the time of reformation. (Old Covenant ----> New Covenant) How many people have become a part of the Body of Christ by the Old Covenant water baptism of John the Baptist?

1) Before approaching anybody about a sin make sure that you aren't a hypocrite. "Take the log out of your eye..." It doesn't have to be the same sin but if you're a known fornicator it is wrong to correct someone who is also in sexual sin. 2) I would also consult my priest first as I know he would keep it confidential. The priest is there for therapeutic aid also. He might know the right approach to speak to your friend. 3) Always remember your goal is to bring your friend back into the fold of the Church, but if that becomes 'impossible' at the moment you still can't compromise and you may have to lose your friend. Better to lose a friend than to lose Jesus Christ our Savoir. 4) If it comes to the latter remember you are separating from your friend because you still love your friend while praying that they will find their way back to the faith. All you dispensational pre tribbbers commenting calling Hank a false teacher is ridiculous. His views on end times have been taught since the early church. Dispensational theology comes from Darby around 1833. Spurgeon called out Darby and even suggested that he may be a cult leader. Spurgeon was a historic pre mill guy, i believe. Historical pre mill, amill, and post have been around a long time. Dispensational pre mill has more holes than charlie browns ghost costume!! I have seen many dispensational christians leave that teaching. I haven't seen anyone from the other three views become a dispensationalist. The bottom line is there is no pre trib rapture, or seven year tribulation in the Bible.

The only thing that debunks Hank's notion that there won't be mortals living side by side with immortals on the planet earth is found in Revelation chapter 22. See if you can spot the mystery that unlocks that issue. Hint, it was also found in the garden of Eden. Full circle.

The Great Tribulation is the second half of the 7 year Tribulation. It begins in Revelation chapter 12, and includes the 7 bowls of wrath. Most Christians agree (both pre-trib and mid-trib) that we will not be on the planet by that time.

‭Hank in support of your answer... Take heart to all who struggle with concern that their present sin natures will somehow spill over, if you will, into the new heavens and earth. Paul makes it plain how we will all be changed in 1 Corinthians 15:50-57... "I declare to you, brothers and sisters, that flesh and blood cannot inherit the kingdom of God, nor does the perishable inherit the imperishable. Listen, I tell you a mystery: We will not all sleep, but we will all be changed- in a flash, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trumpet. For the trumpet will sound, the dead will be raised imperishable, and we will be changed. For the perishable must clothe itself with the imperishable, and the mortal with immortality. When the perishable has been clothed with the imperishable, and the mortal with immortality, then the saying that is written will come true: “Death has been swallowed up in victory.” “Where, O death, is your victory? Where, O death, is your sting?” The sting of death is sin, and the power of sin is the law. But thanks be to God! He gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ." So, to all who believe, do take heart in what is to come... It is the Lord Jesus who saved you through His Cross and resurrection. It is the Lord Jesus who will transform you in a flash in the twinkling of His eye to be incorruptible and immortal... That is our Gospel to all of mankind who believe.

Preachers are obligated to preach the whole counsel of God. So the Bible Answer Man should preach I Thessalonians 4:17, which states: " ἁρπαγησόμεθα ἐν νεφέλαις ", "We shall be taken in the clouds." So what does this verse mean? When someone tells you there is zero evidence for a proposition that many people believe, we often find that there is plenty of evidence, it's just the first party, in this case Hanegraff, doesn't want to hear it and certainly isn't going to repeat it. I Thessalonians 4:17-18 is immediately followed by a description of the Tribulation period. Oh, but that's in chapter five!! Well, in the original text there were no chapter divisions. We have 4:17 describing a taking of the Church out of this world immediately followed by a description of Tribulation events. Wonder where we get that Pre-Trib Rapture idea. So . . . I challenge the Bible answer man to explain what "ἁρπαγησόμεθα ἐν νεφέλαις" is saying. It's a part of God's word so its very good, it's the Word of Life. Instead of pettifoggery about J.N. Darby . . . please tell us the value and message of "ἁρπαγησόμεθα ἐν νεφέλαις". Because, Hank, we shall be taken in the clouds!

Here is where the wheat and tares parable applies. After the good seed was planted, tares (weeds) were planted among the good seed. Jesus said not to pull the tares while the wheat is growing or you would end up pulling them both. Wait until the wheat has completely grown and take the tares out and throw them into the fire. Gather the wheat and put it into My (Jesus) barn. What He is saying is that Christians while they are alive in the flesh have both a good nature and bad nature. They can't be separated while we are alive because we are given free will. The bad nature once we are in repose (resting in peace) can be removed leaving only the good nature. This parable is often misused to support the rapture thinking there are some good people and some bad people. In reality we are both good and bad at the same time. That is why we continuously repent and ask for forgiveness from our Lord Jesus Christ.

Supersessionism, replacement theology, and fulfillment theolgy are three names for the same thing, the Church replacing Israel, abolishment of the Davidic Covenant promised to God's chosen people, the Jews, and abolishment of the Abrahamic Covenant promised to Abraham and his descendants the Jews. Nowhere in the scriptures does it say God is a liar, and He does not keep His promises. My God is Yeshua Hamashiach, the Lion of the Tribe of Judah! Jesus Christ is the King of the Jews. Jesus is a Jew. The Church is Jesus Christ's Bride. The Jews are God's chosen people. He gave us the law through the Jews to convict and teach us of our need for a Messiah. Yeshua Hamashiach purchased the Church and Israel with His precious Blood, the Blood of the Passover Lamb of God, who takes away the sins of the world. Jesus Christ came in the flesh and dwelt among us. 1 John 4:1-4 ESV - Beloved, do not believe every spirit, but test the spirits to see whether they are from God, for many false prophets have gone out into the world. By this you know the Spirit of God: every spirit that confesses that Jesus Christ has come in the flesh is from God, and every spirit that does not confess Jesus is not from God. This is the spirit of the antichrist, which you heard was coming and now is in the world already. Little children, you are from God and have overcome them, for he who is in you is greater than he who is in the world. 1 Corinthians 15:1-6 ESV - Now I would remind you, brothers, of the gospel I preached to you, which you received, in which you stand, and by which you are being saved, if you hold fast to the word I preached to you-unless you believed in vain. For I delivered to you as of first importance what I also received: that Christ died for our sins in accordance with the Scriptures, that he was buried, that he was raised on the third day in accordance with the Scriptures, and that he appeared to Cephas, then to the twelve. Then he appeared to more than five hundred brothers at one time, most of whom are still alive, though some have fallen asleep. ALL biblical prophecy will be fullfilled, just wait and see!

Y'all act as if Christianity has evolved and that there are 1000s of forms of it. And, if you actually read the Tanahk, you'll know that blood sacrifice wasn't required to be right with God. And of course they're still waiting for the Messiah, Jesus didn't bring peace as the real Messiah is supposed to do. He brought, in fact, the opposite, a sword. "And brothers will hate brothers...." @@BibleAnswerMan My positions are extremely defensible. And me dogmatic? lol, that's projection at its finest. In the Tanakh, God had animal sacrifices for specific things and unknown sins. For the rest, all that was required was repentence. _For I desire mercy, not sacrifice, and acknowledgment of God rather than burnt offerings._ It's weird that you Christians just cherry pick things, and ignore everything that teaches the exact opposite of your beliefs (like the silly idea that the Tanakh teaches a trinity, a totally heretical idea to the Jews). If you simply read that verse in Hosa you'll see that the entire idea of God needing to kill his own kid (a disgusting theology) to be able to forgive people is silly and not scriptural when you look at the Tanakh. It was invented by Christians because it fit the motif of other dying/rising gods of the day, including Greek and Egyptian myths and motifs. It's easy to see if you're not dogmatic. For verily I say unto you, Till heaven and earth pass, one jot or one tittle shall in no wise pass from the law, till all be fulfilled. Whosoever therefore shall break one of these least commandments, and shall teach men so, he shall be called the least in the kingdom of heaven: but whosoever shall do and teach them, the same shall be called great in the kingdom of heaven." Jesus said: Mat 19:17 "if thou wilt enter into life, keep the commandments." Over and over Jesus states we are to be saved by following him and keeping the commandments, and this is not hard to do with help of the holy spirit. Rev_12:17 And the dragon was wroth with the woman, and went to make war with the remnant of her seed, which keep the commandments of God, and have the testimony of Jesus Christ. Rev_14:12 Here is the patience of the saints: here are they that keep the commandments of God, and the faith of Jesus. Rev_22:14 Blessed are they that do his commandments, that they may have right to the tree of life, and may enter in through the gates into the city. It seems to me we should be keeping the commandments alongside faith in / testimony of Christ, not exchanging one for the other.

Unless You believe Jesus died for our sins, you can't be saved. There is no way that we can earn our salvation by following a certain teaching. God is not limited to our in human understanding. One God, three persons.

The Great Tribulation begins in 2 months. It is caused by God. It is called "The Lord's Day", "Gods wrath", "A Refinning Fire" or just "fire." Jesus constantly talked about The Great Tribulation every time he talked about a fire. Those not dressed and ready for the banquet get tossed where there is weeping and nashing of teeth- IN THE GREAT TRIBULATION. They miss out on the banquet and are suffering correction in THE GREAT TRIBULATION. The weeds are gathered and thrown into the fire- THE GREAT TRIBULATION. "Just as in the days of Noah, they took no note and the flood came and swept them away" - likened to not taking note of The Hour of Test, they fail, and THE GREAT TRIBULATION sweeps them away. "I counsel you to buy from me gold [knowledge] once [YOU] are refined by fire"- in THE GREAT TRIBULATION. " Any branch that does not remain in me gets cut down and thrown into the fire"- THE GREAT TRIBULATION The Great Tribulation is made up of 7 plagues designed to get everyone to stop turning to men for knowledge and turn to Christ as their only teacher. You can repent and stop following men after the third plague, and God will keep away the rest of the plagues from you. You will then have to patiently wait until all plagues are over before you receive any knowledge of what is going on from Christ. When all seven plagues are over and you did not turn back to men for knowledge but waited at the door for Jesus, Jesus returns and drops all knowledge and understanding in your brains. You then destroy the false prophet. It's a time of Great Tribulation for the wicked and a time of correction for those who believe in Christ and need to put themselves under Christ by making him their teacher before he returns at the end of the Great Tribulation. Those who are dedicated to Christ as their only teacher, not men, enjoy a banquet on Earth, making great changes on Earth, eating mighty wicked men, destroying their position of power, while The Great Tribulation is going on. You will clearly see who these people are. The Great Tribulation is 3.5 years long. There is so much more in the scriptures with more details about the Great Tribulation, but by now, you should know who you need to turn to for knowledge and understanding. Ask God. I did.

@BibleAnswerMan Everyone disagrees. No one makes Christ their only teacher. This is why the entire world goes through the Great Tribulation except 144,000 on Earth. A deciple is a student. A deciple of Christ is a student of Christ. Christ is the teacher, not men. You can't be a deciple/student of men on the topic of Christ and call yourself a deciple of Christ. You are a deciple of men on the topic of Christ studying biblical theories called theology. Jesus doesn't teach theology. He teaches truth. Dictionary: the·ol·o·gy noun religious beliefs and THEORY when systematically developed.

I learned about 15 years ago that the founder of seventh day adventists learned the biblical depth that the original shabbat was lunar and how search biblical month also had a new moon feast scripture too. However, their church business would not be able to keep going because it would not have people there in their new church business because wouldn't be Saturday or Sunday usually...and wouldn't get their money from the members. So instead they went back to the Roman empire SaturnDay shabbat that the Roman empire kept for a long time even after they added some Christianity into their empire. And in the Roman Catholic Canon there's info about how SaturnDay is still really what they call the Sabbath and Sunday is actually their conservation day. And most don't know about the history of how the Roman empire forced the Jews to not be allowed to do their lunar shabbats or new moon feast anymore because messed up their Roman business slavery of the Jews. And several jew teachers in churches know this but keep it hidden from most so they can keep their church business too, and get members on SaturnDay and get their money too. God bless us all! 🙏🙏🙏

People from Teal Swans childhood have come forward and exposed her as a fabricator. They say she came from a loving, middle class home and there wasn’t any abuse or trauma. And Doc came forward also and claims she’s flat out nuts… She doesn’t know him like she claims and he’s mortified by the things she’s said about him. From what I’ve been able to piece together, she is a nut job and all about the money she can make in this space. Do your own research and see for yourself. She hasn’t been through all she claims, not by a long shot. Lastly, she couldn’t hold a candle to David W… Unlike her, he always says: don’t take my word for anything, do your own research.

Hank you ask the question does Jesus or any of the disciples describe a thousand-year reign? Yes, John does in Revelation. "And I saw thrones, and they sat on them, and judgment was committed to them. Then I saw the souls of those who had been beheaded for their witness to Jesus and for the word of God, who had not worshiped the beast or his image, and had not received his mark on their foreheads or on their hands. And they lived and reigned with Christ for a thousand years. 5 But the rest of the dead did not live again until the thousand years were finished. This is the first resurrection. 6 Blessed and holy is he who has part in the first resurrection. Over such the second death has no power, but they shall be priests of God and of Christ and shall reign with Him a thousand years. Yes, I know there are times in scripture where 1000 is metaphorical for a long (if not eternal) time period. But in Revelation 20:1-7 four times the Bible mentions that the 1000-year reign will not go on forever. It will end, be finished. Jesus and a few of the disciples were leaving the Temple Mount marveling at the buildings and Jesus said, "I tell you the truth, there is coming a time when not one stone will be left on another, all will be thrown down as rubble." Then they went up on the Mt of Olives and came to Jesus privately and said, "When will these things be (the destruction of the temple) and what will be the sign of your coming again and the end of the age." There Jesus launched into the "Olivet Discourse." One of the things He said was, " And this gospel of the kingdom will be preached in the WHOLE WORLD as a testimony to all nations, and then the end will come." The Gospel was NOT preached to the whole world in the first century. Jesus also said, " For then there will be great distress, unequaled from the beginning of the world until now-and never to be equaled again." Whatever happened in the first century was NOT the greatest distress the world has ever been in. Then Jesus said, " “Immediately after the distress of those days “‘the sun will be darkened, and the moon will not give its light; the stars will fall from the sky, and the heavenly bodies will be shaken.’ This did not happen in the first century. Then Jesus said, "Then will appear the sign of the Son of Man in heaven. And then ALL the PEOPLES of the earth will mourn when they see the Son of Man coming on the clouds of heaven, with power and great glory. And he will send his angels with a loud trumpet call, and they will gather his elect from the FOUR WINDS, FROM ONE END OF THE HEAVENS TO THE OTHER. If this happened in the first century, why don't historical records from every country/civilization on earth abound with reports of the greatest site ever? How come there are NOT reports of the Greatest event, at least since the flood, all over the world? If "ALL the PEOPLES of the earth...saw Jesus coming in great glory, sending His angels to gather the elect from the four corners of the earth, from one end of the heavens to the other, NOT ONLY would historical records from all around the world abound with the accounts, but there would have been the greatest evangelical outreach, and revival EVER. With everyone seeing this great event; other religions would have died, others like Islam and Hinduism etc never would have started up. ATHEISM would have suffered a fatal blow. Why would the Holy Spirit say, "...And then ALL the PEOPLES of the earth will mourn when they see the Son of Man coming on the clouds of heaven, with power and great glory..." when He really meant ONLY a few in Jerusalem would see it? No offense Hank, but I think you have your mind made up that preterism is true, and then you make a metaphor out of everything in the Bible that doesn't fit that paradigm.

You can't say there is NO such thing as a rapture and then describe a post-trib rapture. Yes, it happens at the Coming of the Lord. It is NOT a secret rapture, but a rapture none the less. You mention this is not a rapture, but rather the resurrection. Surely you don't believe in soul sleep, do you? Yes, the BODIES of the dead in Christ are resurrected for sure. But Paul said, "To be absent from the body is to be present with the Lord." So, at the "resurrection" Jesus brings the souls of the Believers who have died and reunites them with their NOW glorified bodies. I personally, after many years believing in a pre-trib rapture, believe the Pre-Wrath rapture view best fits scripture.
@BibleAnswerMan
@BibleAnswerMan Күн бұрын
@MB777-qr2xv Incorrect. This is not a post tribulation rapture view. The point being made is that there is no evidence for a pretribulation rapture, i.e., the idea that God is going to remove the Church from the Earth before the start of a future seven-year Great Tribulation that ends with Jesus' Second Coming and the start of the Millennium. The idea of there being a future seven-year Great Tribulation is even difficult to draw from the Olivet Discourse. See www.equip.org/articles/apocalypse-when/ For most of church history, Christians held the rapture and resurrection to be synonymous. See www.equip.org/article/left-behind-from-root-to-ripened-fruit/
