Recently I fully lost my previous special interest in Harry Potter especially Severus Snape (my current special interest is Disney's The Hunchback of Notre Dame especially Judge Claude Frollo) which I was heavily invested in for like 2-3 years and now I feel like this song really hits because all those memories: gone. All that money spent on HP merch: gone. All that investment I did for Harry Potter: GONE! Heck, I can vividly see money being flushed down the toilet. I used to be able to talk about Harry Potter for hours nonstop and now I don't even want to think about it anymore. Some reasons I lost interest were because I got sick of it, there are so many toxic HP "fans" (especially a lot of Snape haters who bully others just for liking him and yet have the audacity to call Severus Snape a bully... Smh hypocrites.), I can't even watch the Harry Potter movies anymore without dying of boredom, and because I like other stories more than Harry Potter. Also yes, I'm autistic, hence why I use the term "special interest". I know moving on is a part of life but IMO Harry Potter was very special to me at one point in my life and it's sad that so many toxic people take up so much space in the Harry Potter fandom nowadays and it's sad that something I cared about so much is just gone like it's nothing. Sure I should have seen it coming because over time my interest in Harry Potter slowly declined but it still kinda breaks my heart because I did really love it at one point.
