I agree with all the statements as I have shot out two .223 Rem. T3 Varmints........anybody know of a source for replacement factory barrels ?
@Leopard_811929 күн бұрын
If this is so, how come my 2x Tikka T3x Super Varmint T3x Cerakote is binding on the bolt due to it is fluted? Smooth operation is a far reach, and every fast movement makes the bolt lock itself, so you have to release the pressure to make it move again. Kind of problematic in a hunting scenario. It is the worst bolt action I have ever experienced, and I am so disappointed with Tikka on this. I have a 10 year old Tikka T3, and the bolt is 100%. That is why I now bought 2 new rifles, but the trust backfired. Was told by the seller and the supplier that there is nothing to do with the problem..

The fact it can’t stay on the gun and have the legs fold forward is a big let down for your average hunter. Having to take it on and off as need and pack it elsewhere is a pain.

Nice to see you guys have upgraded a few items that are imperative to a rifles accuracy/precision over time. One of those being a better recoil lug, made of steel and not aluminum. The aluminum lug of the T3 version was a complete failure, on anything that recoiled harder than a .223 Remington. Also, since a Tikka is mass produced, you don't skim bed the receivers, or glass bed the recoil lug in, the way it should be, to ensure that accuracy/precision over the life of the rifle. One major flaw you have, is the recoil lug mortise in the stock, is cut a deeper depth, than it should be, and over time, that recoil lug will drop further into the stock, affecting the seating of the lug into the slot cut in the bottom of the receiver. This is a design flaw, but the reason you do this, is so you have a small amount of flexibility between different receivers and stocks. This can all be, and is corrected, when a person properly glass beds their Tikka rifle. That is the only way you get, "a solid foundation", which ensures the utmost "repeatable" accuracy/precision over the lifetime of the rifle. Are they perfect from the factory? No!!

I wonder why my Tiķka T1x Hunter has also the last name Pompeya....? Bought in Europe, looks like the one in the video, but neither the importer ot seller could explain the Tikka T1x 22lr Pompeya registration. 🙄 . Tikka website has no name like that. Well, didn't find it. Still it's a fantastic rifle and I wish I had bought my 17 hmr in the wood stock also, instead of the polymer stock. Not that it's bad, but the weight difference is really felt when switching between 22 and 17. Handy and precise tools. 2👍's up. Z. 🇮🇸

Hello, great product. Is the twist rate in 308 1:10? Thanks
@Ser_Arthur_Dayne2 ай бұрын
It's advertised as 1:11 and for some reason I think I once read that it is actually closer to the 1:11.25 twist that the Army originally found to be the optimal twist for a .308 based Sniper Rifle (I believe all the US Army M24 SWS rifles were 1:11.25 until they rechambered & barreled to .300 Win Mag in the post-2010 era) .. I have one of these rifles and absolutely love it - AMAZING. And just for the sake of comparison , people often get caught up in the "Twist Debates" ... I had a Remington 700 .308 with a 1:10 "heavy barrel" and this Tikka T3X UPR makes it look like a used Volkswagen versus a hand-built Mercedes-Benz AMG

Why doesn’t Tikka honor their rebate promotion? Declining rebates based on firearm serial number. Never heard of such a thing. Especially when the promotion says rebate on ANY Tikka T3X. Scam!!! Spend your money elsewhere.

Fed up with this PRS fashion in all rifle brands. I hope it will end soon. I'm only interested in real improvements in terms of quality and accuracy. Less plastic parts, good news 👍
@camonly8494 ай бұрын
I shot factory berger 130gr target hybrids in 6.5cm in my upr and got a .25" group. Is that not accurate enough? The action is wicked smooth and everything is high quality except for the cheek riser. The stock is EXTREMELY rigid. Most stocks are free floated until you put a bipod on it and put weight on it. My remington 700 was like that. This upr still past the free float test and I got the group down to 3/16" with hand loads. I have a death grip tripod and it squeezes the stock together, yet still passes the free float test and maintains accuracy. That's exactly the type of stock you want. It truly is rigid. Just today I was out shooting 1000 yards no problem. The cheek riser could be better quality, but overall the stock is lighter and makes it more suitable for hunting than the tac a1. Plus I love the vertical grip on the stock as opposed to the ctr and normal stocked rifles. The reason corvettes and mustangs are quicker and compete with exotics is because of competition. Same thing with trucks etc. Competition will always make companies give you a better product. Hands down tikka are some of the best factory rifles out there. Quality, accurate, reliable. My next rifle is a bergara, but only because tikka doesn't offer a 300 prc. But I wanna try a new brand.

@@camonly849 Bergara rifles cannot be compared to Tikkas. I heard so many people having issues with bergaras (extractors breaking, bolt shroud threads, poor accuracy and so on...). A good solution is to buy an old 2nd hand Tikka for cheap and chamber a high quality 300 PRC barrel for it
