@moonlightcrickets9411 Thanks for watching and caring enough to comment. I really do appreciate the dialogue. If I may, let me give you a bit of context. This was in Seal Beach, CA which is a predominantly white neighborhood. This was my second day here, the first went off with no incident. And lastly, this guy went off from the jump when the drone was nowhere near him, his dad or his apartment complex. I simply wondered if the interaction or this guy’s aggression wouldve been different had I not been Filipino.

I literally know where this guy lives and I go by his house all the time it’s in seal Beach right by ballast point on the side with the Surf side shack down by the water they just built a bunch of brand new units they like he said, I ride a very loud motorcycledon’t worry, brother he will be getting a wake up call

The funny thing is, the karen calling the cops was the one breaking the law and in danger of getting arrested. It is a federal crime to take down an aircraft, either directly or indirectly, by interfearing with the pilot, causing a flight incident. This includes both manned and unmanned aircraft and drone pilots. Calling the cops to report a non-crime is also illegal and can get you arrested, but usually only if you lie. I was surprised a cop even showed up. They could have handled this over the phone.

Public perception towards cameras in the sky has changed some since 2018, regardless, as a motorcyclist and drone pilot I will at times suggest to friends and acquaintances to occasionally look up instead down at the phone. One can't help but notice that surveillance is not uncommon

That’s great. However, when you’re already established, the drone is already deployed, and the client is counting on you to get the assets, I’m not wasting battery life and time to relocate because someone is uncomfortable especially when I have the right to be in a public space. Thanks for your opinion though.

really admire your cool-headed attitude towards this ill-tempered male-Karen (what do you call male Karen‘s btw?) - I’ve watched videos of others being harassed: elderly white men, young Asians, whatever - so I wouldn’t go that far implying raciest motivations - but there sure is a lotta prejudice wrt drones, that’s for sure…

Thank you for posting. I shared it on my photography page. And kudos to the LEO for telling the guy to take a hike. As a retired law enforcement officer, nothing annoyed me more than people who called the police for absolute BS like this.
