This is excellent. My first exposure to Ben and the channels … I’ve lived in Vancouver a cpl years recently and will be returning. I have a son in the area. And I skate and do woodworking/metalworking .. I love the city and the whole region. Great to see this , Ben’s work and play ethic .. big positivity here. Love the RDS crew , I often passed by the shop on my cycling around the city. I’ve snowboarded Whistler and spent lots of time in Vancouver for well over 20 yrs and it became my favorite place. So much great skating, beach life, good food, chill people, healthy livin’!

Slap some rapid set on all the stuff you want a lil better edge on. Spray clear coat and apply wax while its still warm and setting up.

I’m a young nurse and have been a skateboarder most of my life. As I’ve reached my young adult years, Ben has been such a huge role model for me. Him balancing family, health, work and his passion for skateboarding is such a huge inspiration for me. I thoroughly enjoy listening to him speak about life and skateboarding. I look at him and see myself in the future. I love this dude and have been watching him since the beginning of his KZfaq career while I was in college/ nursing school!

what he said about the weather and maintaining skate tricks is so true. When I moved to Van, I skated maybe twice in the first winter, and then over compensated by skating so much in the summer and pushed myself that I got injured all the time.

I'm 34 working on hardflips. But I did learn "fakie halfcab heelflip" or fakie backside 180 heelflip. Not sure what the appropriate name is for that trick but it's really fun and satisfying.

I’m not 100% sure but touching the new tail light bulb with your fingers can deposit oil on the glass and cause a hot spot on the bulb and can possibly burn out more quickly.

on the topic on maintaining skateboarding. I started sleeping on the floor with minimal padding, a side benefit is that falling while skating doesn't really hurt anymore. The body adapts to lying on a hard floor. I didn't expect it happening. Don''t really know if it helps, as I am the only one around me who does it. If anyone is eager to try it out, be aware that the first 3-5 days are a bit of a struggle. Gets way easier after that
