What passive and active safety features do Volvo Trucks have for protecting vulnerable road users? Moving silently through the streets is great until a pedestrian or cyclist is caught unawares or finds themselves in a truck drivers blind spot as the truck is driven across their path.

Yes Volvo would like you too drive in A mode so you use the brakes more often and have to buy more brake pads from them. If you use your exhaust brake and gears to slow down, the less you have to apply the foot brake

I’ve seen pics of the Volvo post accident - the cab did its job to the letter! No real deformity and crushing - the only real damage was from the A pillar to the B pillar. Opened up like a sardine tin
