James & Beth, had it all, there’s a saying, you don’t know what you’ve got, until it’s gone, everyone should read a book called, KING OF CLUBS, by Maureen PREST, she was James’s PA at the Batley Variety club, West Yorkshire, England.

I agree with your comment you don't know what you have untill its gone. I had an accident in 2005 and now have to use a wheelchair. I can still walk but only with a Zimmer Frame. So I agree with you. The Hungry Years always cheers me up though even though it is sadish kind of music.

Once there were a couple who was so poor that they fasted monday Wednesday Friday and Sunday so they wont starve to death. Then they won millions from lotto. The first thing they do was buy delicious food and has been doing it for years until the doctors told them to stop eating too much delicious food because they have become too obese and suffered several sicknesses. The husband said it was better before when we were poor because we could eat anything we like even bananas were considered a feast. So the husband said: I miss the hungry years and Neil sedaka wrote a song for this couple

Neil was such a peppy guy with oh so many earlier peppy songs, and later some very poignantly meaningful songs. God now has added yet another greatly talented member to his celestial choir. R.I.P., Neil. You were always there when we needed a little uplifting, and now God has lifted you up FOREVER.

How is there thumbs down . I really don't understand why anyone can say this isn't the 1 of the most beautiful song in the world. Dad brought me up with all the oldies , all 7 of us. Lost dad sept 1st 2022 😢. Lost my mam 2017 6 weeks after my beautiful nephew commited suicide. Also lost my big brother Ricky to suicide😢. Wish I could turn the clock back . Memories of mam , sad and my childhood. I feel so ssd and empty 😢😢❤
